I wanted to put something on my boat to help protect where the driver stands. I usually have flip flops on when I get on the boat and once I start driving they come off. I wanted someone a little softer to stand on so I gave this a shot. It seems like it is holding up well so far and I have had it on for a few months. You really need to get the surface clean before sticking this on and I did try but one of the corners is peeling up a little. It could have been me not heeding my own words and didn't have it really really cleaned. Plus mine sits in the sun most of the time and even though the center console throws off some shade it still gets hit with the rain and 100 degree summer days.
