  • Great panels — Daisy Chaining Can be Problematic
Color: Panel Grow Light(10Pack)
I've been very happy with these panels overall, and after testing with a PAR meter (a tool that measures the actual light intensity plants receive, not just the wattage a bulb draws), I want to share two findings that should help anyone planning a multi-panel setup. 1. Watch the wattage-per-panel on the pack size you choose. These panels are sold in packs with power supplies: 2-pack (24W), 3-pack and 4-pack (36W), 5-pack and 6-pack (60W), and 8-pack and 10-pack (100W). I didn't pay attention to this when I first ordered, but doing the math, the power-per-panel isn't consistent across pack sizes: 2-pack: 12W/panel 3-pack: 12W/panel 4-pack: 9W/panel ⚠️ 5-pack: 12W/panel 6-pack: 10W/panel 8-pack: 12.5W/panel 10-pack: 10W/panel I have both 24W and 100W. The 2-pack, 3-pack, 5-pack, and 8-pack give you the best power per panel. If you're buying the 4-pack, 6-pack, or 10-pack, I'd suggest only running the number of panels that matches the better ratio (for example, running 3 of the 4 panels, 5 of the 6, or 8 of the 10) and keeping the extras as replacements for when a panel eventually fails, rather than running the full set at reduced power. 2. Short daisy chains were fine. Long daisy chains were not. With just 2 panels daisy-chained together, the brightness loss from the first panel to the second was negligible. But with the 100W when I daisy-chained 10 panels together in a single chain, brightness dropped steadily down the line, panel by panel — by the time I reached the last panel in the chain, it had lost about 72% of the brightness of the first panel, and the dimness was obvious even without a meter. I retested those same 10 panels wired as 5 separate pairs (2 panels daisy-chained per pair, each pair on its own socket - each power supply has 5-6 sockets, even the 24W) instead of one long chain, and got consistent output across all 5 pairs — confirming that short chains are the key, not the total panel count. My takeaway: if you're running several panels and need consistent light across all of them, pick a pack size with good watts-per-panel (or run fewer panels than the pack includes), and avoid long daisy chains. A couple of panels chained together works fine, but stringing many together in one chain will leave the far end noticeably dim. If you need to run more panels than you have sockets for, wire them as multiple short chains (2 panels each) across separate sockets rather than one long chain — you still get the wiring convenience of daisy-chaining without sacrificing evenness. An advantage of the larger sets is that they need 1 outlet. Aside from these considerations, the panels themselves have performed excellently and I'm glad I bought them. ... show more

  • Perfect size for what I needed
Color: Panel Grow Light(4Pack)
I bought these grow lights to fit under the shelves of my new plant stand. They are a perfect fit and are exactly the size I needed, and the number of lights joined together was perfect, too! If you had a bigger setup and needed more light it looks like you can join more sets together if you want. They don't have a dimmer, which is ok but would have been a nice feature to have. The set I got also had a different button setup than the one showed, it had less timer options. But I always set my lights for 12 hours and that setting is on there so it's fine. They don't get hot to the touch and the light output seems enough for my plants to be happy throughout winter. At first they seemed a little thin and the connectors seemed flimsy, but they all went together easily and once they're in place it's not like I'm going to move them around Speaking of keeping them in place, the description said they come with zip ties as an option to attach them to shelvs. Mine did not come with zip ties but with white twist ties like you'd find on a bread bag. They're strong enough to hold the super lightweight lights, but I expected something sturdier. Overall I give it 5 stars because the size is perfect and they do what I need them to. ... show more

  • Very thin and easy to attach.
Color: Panel Grow Light(6Pack)
These put off a decent amount of light and my hydroponic veggies are growing well under these lights. Thin, light, easy to assemble and attach to my wire rack using the ties included. Bought them twice as I had added more plants. Very little warmth coming from them. It has an option of timers on the control. ... show more

  • Good growth lights
Color: Panel Grow Light(10Pack)
The lights work great but the adhesive that comes with it is weak and a bit of an issue, hence me taking off one star. Don’t rely on the adhesive they include in the package or you might randomly one day have a light falling on your plants. Although, I love the dexterity of the lights and that you can arrange them in different ways. Overall good product. ... show more

  • They work well, put out a lot of light
Color: Panel Grow Light(4Pack)
I really like these lights. They were easy to set up, I can daisy chain quite a few to one controller, and they’re really easy to manage. Much better than my other setup where each set of 2 has a separate controller. The timer works well and is very reliable. But I have not figured out how to keep the lights on for 18 hours instead of 12. Tip - I used string to connect them to my shelves. This has made adjusting the height as the plants grow much easier. ... show more

  • Really nice light for germination / seedlings. Could use more blue
Color: Panel Grow Light(4Pack)
These are quite nice for my application ( germination box ) and I've already ordered a few more sets. They're inexpensive, compact, efficient and are really bright to look at. The concept of PCB on aluminum is sweet but don't flex them. I built a rack for 5 of them to hang over a 10 x 20 growtray. They have holes that you can blow air through. The power supply that comes with them is adequate. It's 24V output and the 4 panel version is listed at 36Watts. Measuring them on my lab supply, each of my panels uses about .32 amps. 8 watts at full power and they run almost cool to the touch. I thought it would be nice to dim them because I didn't want to raise and lower them to adjust intensity at the seedlings. A dimmer wasn't a purchase option and there's no real technical data on line ( made by a huge Chinese lighting company but several layers of 3rd parties ) but there are two dimming inputs on the module. So I opened mine up, took a look and prevailed anyway. If you are electronically inclined, I'm using an inverted 1Khz PWM signal. +24V and ground are available at the dimmer connectors ( which are 2mm spacing, not 2.5, grrr... ). Otherwise...Danger. There's 110VAC on the PCB which is silicone'd into the box. This is strictly outside of the rails of your safety. If you don't know what you're doing, do not do this. ... show more

  • Working great for our house plants
Color: Panel Grow Light(4Pack)
These are okay. They work well. But had a difficult time getting one to work. Overall like this product and would recommend. Easy to use.
