It's definitely medium-firm but it has a softness to it as well. Kind of a mesh feeling. It expanded quickly but I still allowed it sit for a little over 48 hours before I slept on it. I have zero complaints, I love it... and I'm getting ready to purchase another one... a queen size one for my son's bedroom. It's a quiet mattress, no springy sounds or anything. No weird smells. It's nice and thick, fit my frame perfectly! It's just a nice solid mattress. I love it! Be aware, the box is quite heavy! I had to have some strong men bring it upstairs to my bedroom. My 45-year-old knees and back couldn't handle it. LOL! So be prepared, it's a pretty heavy box. Anywho, I hope this review was helpful... and I hope you find this mattress as awesome as I do!

HUGE and bunch. It’s been a while since we had a spring mattress but it’s very comfortable. Didn't take long for it to expand at all. It’s firm enough but soft enough… right in the middle. Amazing for the price… no squeaks or weird noises getting off or on or even rolling over. Great find.

Do not listen to the people in the comments that say this bed or mattress is firm. Yes it is firm in the middle. I have a king size mattress that I purchased. It was supposed to be firm but for some reason the side just till 10 the middle is the only part that is actually usable. If I only wanted a small space for a bed, I would have ordered a twin size. A king size is supposed to fit more than two people so I guess my husband and I have to squish or fight over the middle because both of us just seem to be rolling off the sides. I mean, how do you even return a mattress you can’t. I wish my husband would have ordered the mattress that didn’t have springs. I feel like that’s what’s making it lopsided
