The description is great, right? The 30-day return policy is great too. Well…not so fast. It’s a squashy, overly-soft disaster of a mattress…with inaccurate marketing and even more misleading customer support. Anyone who has ordered a mattress in a box knows that they are shipped via nothing short of a full-on engineering masterpiece: vacuum packed and triple wrapped. Then magically boxed in something almost shoebox size. Quite a feat! Well after 15 nights I realize - ow my back and neck hurts all day - I wonder why…. Oh hello- it’s like sleeping on an old kitchen sink sponge. Ok fine. So it goes; can’t win ‘em all. Try a few more nights - but adjust pillow!! Nope. Worse. I’m 130# and 6’…not exactly a wide load or an undue stressor on the mattress. So get this - I opted to return it (options are … they will replace w exact item - no modifications permitted to mattress firmness or return for a refund). I chose the latter when Amazon customer service said they can pick it up as is. I asked if a box is needed — because no way I can jam that back into the shoebox and I don’t own a steam roller — agent said NOPE! They will just pick it up! Wow - sold! The next day I read the return details on the app … and the story is completely different. -Pack in original box -Be on hand to sign for pickup (12 hr pickup window of course) -Refund to original FOP will be issued within 15 business days of their *receipt of item* WOW. So on chat with Amazon again - another 75 minutes being transferred from agent to agent to agent. No resolution other than the scripted “sorry you’re so upset” and “I’ve reviewed prior chats & see that you were misinformed”. Okay. So can you please assist with creating a solution? No. Please? (Without a word I was sent to a different agent.) Oh. Okay. Odd. Never happened in 25 years of Amazon orders but ok I can roll with it. The next agent said this: no box? No problem! Wrap it in bubble wrap! >blink. blink.< Wait what? (Quick math … that is 100’ of bubble wrap. This agent must be day-drinking.) Sir, so … that’s about $50 of material that will tear due to the floppy, squashy formless 200# mattress. How about a plastic mattress wrap? No. No acceptable. Okay - then pls check my cart and you will see a replacement mattress…with an ETA of next week. Can you please modify pickup to accommodate the pending delivery (once I purchase)? No. So then, can you help me at all? No. May I please speak with a higher level of service? No. He disconnected. I now have another chat sequence to navigate…without any meaningful action items. And a dud of a mattress. Looks like borderline fraudulent advertising since there is no solution provided in spite of their documented guarantee. Do not purchase this … even if you LOVE a soft mattress…because the manufacturer has no interest in creating loyal customers. No support of any kind and heaven forbid if you ask (rightfully per their documented SOPs) for any type of support or service. Shameful and unacceptable. ... show more
