There was no drama in unrolling and inflating of this. I know I have seen some videos of people getting flung across the room by these things when they open up, which are hilarious but also scary when you consider that they are usually holding scissors or a knife when it happens. Nothing like that happened with this one. I unrolled it, and then slit one end of the bag with the included closed-blade slicer. The bag slowly inflated over the course of a minute or so. It was easy to set up. No hilarity, no drama, and that's a good thing. At first the mattress had a bit of an arc to it, which you can see in the picture with it on its side before I put it on the bed. But once it was on the bed it laid flat. This was my first time trying a mattress-in-a-box. I got this for my bed at my hunting camp. So not a bed I will be sleeping on every night, probably only 20 nights a year or so. For this purpose I think it works great and is a good value at the current coupon price of $142.49. I'm really impressed by how comfortable this mattress is considering that it came in a box that I could carry myself. I feel like the medium-firm description is fair. Really the lower spring portion feels more firm, with the upper foam layers feeling softer. I think it is a good combination. It certainly worked well for me over the 3 nights I tried it this past weekend. I did note that when I sat on the edge of the bed it felt springy; like it bounces up or down a lot more than traditional innerspring mattresses that I am accustomed to. I can't say if I would like this as an every night mattress. Obviously this twin size is just for me. I don't think my wife would care for it as much, she's looking for a more pillow top experience. I was a little hesitant about ordering a mattress online, but I’m so glad I did. It arrived well-packaged and securely sealed. It is definitely heavy, so having an extra person to help move it is a good idea. Setup was surprisingly easy and kind of fun to watch. Once I opened it, the mattress quickly expanded into shape. The mattress is a little firmer than I personally prefer, but I added a pillow-top mattress cover, and now it’s absolutely perfect for me. The quality is much better than I expected for a mattress purchased online. The breathable knit cover feels and it stays comfortable throughout the night. One of my favorite features is the motion isolation. My partner isn’t disturbed when I get up during the night, which has made a noticeable difference in our sleep. There was also no unpleasant odor after opening it, and it was ready to use in no time. Overall, this is an excellent value for the price. It’s comfortable, well-made, easy to set up, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a quality mattress. it’s heavy, so having an extra person to help move it is a good idea. ... show more

TL;DR: This budget-friendly mattress-in-a-box is perfect for quick setups like dorms or guest rooms, but it feels a bit overpriced compared to similar options. It is a convenient setup, but manage your expectations when it comes to marketing claims and third-party warranties. I don't like it when a seller doesn't fully own what they are: a white-label third-party brand. I have absolutely no problem with that business model, as long as they aren't claiming to "design" the product or marketing themselves as the primary manufacturer. The price should match the quality of the product, but this one feels a tiny bit overpriced when you can easily find similar options for less. With that said, this Queen mattress is highly convenient. It is a straight-to-your-door delivery that is easy to set up—just open it, wait, and voilà. The materials used in the fabrication seem decent enough, making it a perfectly fine fit for a student, a first apartment, a kid's bed, or a casual guest room where it will do the job for a couple of years. It fits deep-pocket sheets 100% perfectly. However, it definitely won't be replacing my thermopedic-style mattress as a main bed. Just keep in mind that with third-party sellers, a long-term relationship isn't really in the cards; it's more for a situation with lower everyday usage. I wouldn't expect a warranty to be honored much beyond what Amazon already offers. I also noticed they claim it stays "cool," but I am skeptical about how well that holds up with regular use. This queen-size hybrid mattress has been a great balance of comfort and support. The combination of memory foam and individually wrapped pocket springs provides a medium-firm feel that works well for both back and side sleeping. It expanded quickly after unboxing, and there was very little odor compared to other mattresses I've tried. What I like most is how well it isolates motion. Movement on one side of the bed is barely noticeable on the other, making it a good option for couples. The pocket spring system provides solid support without feeling overly stiff, while the memory foam adds enough cushioning to relieve pressure on the shoulders and hips. It feels supportive without that sinking sensation some all-foam mattresses have. There are a couple of minor things to note. Like most mattresses shipped in a box, it benefits from a full 24 to 48 hours to completely expand before use. The edge support is decent, but it is a little softer than a traditional innerspring mattress when sitting directly on the side. This mattress is really comfortable. It fits my queen size bed perfectly. It isn’t too high and isn’t too low. I was amazed at the value and quality of it. It was heavy in the box but with a little help was very easy to set up.
