Assembly was not an hr.. it was closer to four but we took breaks. The bed is not super wobbly but it does sway just a little. The bed frame bottom does bow a bit. Now take in mind, we have a 12 inch mattress right now because I have to down size and my kiddo is about 180 + lbs.. but for a teen room not too shabby. We just moved and son had a tiny room and this made it something special. Now he has a gaming section/homework section below .. assembly was pretty easy one of the seals for the bar section malfunctioned. We just ripped it out and it seems fine. Has power outlet and lights which are cool. Going to mount a TV on the wall side and get a thinner mattress and bunkie boards will be added tomorrow when they come in. Overall not a bad bunk bed system. I chose this one because I could fit existing furniture under it and the steps were the widest I could find and it has support brackets for the non step side and the back wall grate which also helps stabilize. It has storage space below the stairs and a small wardrobe area, so he can out shoes books school bag etc out of the way but easily accessible. The shelf/raised wall made him feel safe and it is decently sized. Actually a little wider then I was expecting. See fan in corner for comparison! Tons of hanging room on the grate and had a few screw areas just to hang stuff. I am happy, my kiddo is happy, and cost wise I think this is fairly priced for the weight capacity and the stability. We will anchor it this week but honestly I pulled it about 2inches off the wall to prevent a weird squeak that was occuring and now it is pretty quiet. Good purchase!!

The steps and shelf for this were exactly why I ordered it. So much nicer than the ladders. The shelf is really convenient to use as a nightstand. The outlet it comes with is also super convenient. The lights work great, too. It wasn't hard to put together, but VERY time consuming and tedious. Is definitely recommend using a drill with the proper bits. It saved my arms.

I ordered this for my daughter! I was skeptical about it. But I was super impressed with how great it looks and how much space it saves. Now I highly recommend that it be anchored to a wall with studs for stability.

This bed needs to be bolted to the wall... else its shaking when you move. The light its is about as cheap as it comes and doesnt work. My package arrived with internal damage as well....hard to get a resolution,with the seller so we are just going to live with it

After buying two definitely definitely definitely don’t skip the step that says build it on the floor the first one the guys thought it would be a great idea to just insert the ribs once it’s up in the air not a good idea the second one they were experts and were able to build it in half the time just as long as you don’t skip that step follow the directions they’re there for a reason also perfect for a basement with lower ceilings because it’s not quite as high as the usual loft beds also get carpet tiles for the steps

My son loved his new bed! He wants to be in the loft all the time. It took me and my husband like 2 hours to put together but it wasn’t so bad. Everything is labeled and thankfully no missing parts or any dents. If you follow the instructions, it should be fine.
