The bed was well packaged with clear diagrams that made it easy to assemble, and everything goes together with the hex key (Allen wrench) included in the hardware package. In less than 2 hours I unpackaged, inspected all the parts and laid them out, disassembled my old bed, assembled the new one, put the mattress in place, and made the bed. For reference, I'm a nearly 70 year old woman and I did it all without any assistance. I love the height of this bed as well as the 16" clearance under it! I already had a bed that was the same height and under-bed clearance, but I missed having a headboard and the design of my bed did not easily accommodate adding one, due to its rounded outer legs with a couple screw holes on the inside of the legs. I just couldn't find brackets that would fit. After much searching, I found it was cheaper to just buy a whole new bed and I'm happy I found this one. The only thing I would change is to add some mattress retaining brackets to prevent the mattress from slipping as you get in and out of the bed. I just ordered some from another vendor, but had I known they might be necessary, I would have ordered them the same day I ordered the bed so I could have assembled everything at once. I'm giving a 5 star rating anyway, because the bed itself is well made, sturdy, and quiet. And since there are a number of different styles of mattress retaining brackets on the market for under $20, it makes sense to buy the ones you like best.

We bought this frame based on other reviews. We have had this for a few months now and it is really solid. I am a heavy person and I tend to move around a lot. This bed is amazing and the depth for storage to go underneath is a huge plus. I highly recommend this frame.

after greasing & tightening all bolts/frame, the bed still squeaks. rubber o-ring washers were also added & still no solution. most annoying/upsetting purchase that should have been a one & done thing for a new bed. do not purchase if you can’t stand the slightest squeak when moving around on bed.

It definitely comes with scratches in the paint. Unless they change their packaging methods it WILL come scratched. BUT if you want a really sturdy, easy to assemble, comfortable and affordable bed frame, this is it. My boyfriend and I plan to spray pant the whole thing eventually to cover up the scratches but for now it is what it is. Metal bed frames are are to look for, so the fact that the only thing wrong with this is the pieces rubbed together during shipping and scratched the heck out of each other, this bed is a win. Get a boring color and then pick up spray paint in whatever color bed frame you want!

Love this bed. It looks so nice when put together. The instructions were easy to follow. It feels quite sturdy and I believe it will last us for years. I love the height which is perfect to fit storage totes under the bed. We have little storage space in our home and this is great option to be able to store things under the bed.
