  • My tabby loves climbing it! My tabby loves climbing it!
Pro: - Easy to assemble, possible to get the work done by one person (I’m 5 ft 4”) - Very sturdy considering it has only one pole, especially once the three screws on the top is secured for the ceiling pad - One of my cat who used to jump on cabinets loves this tree. He’s 11lb and the plastic bowl is too small for him so I changed that to the hammock (also in the package)—he loves it! - You can DIY any combination of the parts and angle to see what makes sense for your cats. Lots of fun! - The height is adjustable - The scratch pole is great for climbing! A new skill that my cat just developed with this tree. - My cat’s favorite is the top two layers, which in my case are the tent and the hammock. For the lower paddles, he likes the upper one once I put a warm fabric on it. - The wooden design fits very well with my minimalist apartment. - Taking much less floor space than a cat tower, but entertaining for exploring vertically! Con: - Some of the woodwork are defective in the new package. But it’s functionally fine and for environmentalism I didn’t return it. the st - The step paddle would slightly vibrate when cats stepping on it. My other cat who is more timid would get scared. I’m trying to do some exposure training by putting him on a layer. So far he hasn’t liked the tree but we’ll see if things change. At least he’s curious about it! ... show more

  • Holding up through velociraptor stage Holding up through velociraptor stage
We have 3 adorable kittens (brothers) at the velociraptor stage. I monitored closely to ensure this was safe, and it’s holding up structurally after 2 months. No wobbling, even when all 3 use it to launch military attacks. The instructions note that you should be careful to fully rotate all the levels to desired positions BEFORE install: that is critical. I tried to rotate the bed a bit afterward, but it twisted the top bolts: saw it and fixed it quickly by rotating back to place. I used a level to make sure everything was again straight and secure. My ceiling is awkwardly at a height with two suggested configurations: I may try adding another structure piece so that that bolts don’t need to be fully extended. In the meantime, I feel comfortable enough with the integrity of the bolts. The scratching options are saving my curtains. Took them awhile to puzzle out reaching the top tent (good mental enrichment), and now they’re getting bigger and practicing jumps to various levels. There’s a little nubbin of loose rope end that occupies them for hours but so far the glue is holding haha. They can’t jump from the bed level to the tent bc there’s no grippy material on the wood like other levels, but they figured out how to claw-climb up the columns. This pairs well with the window perch bed (same brand): I put the tree in the center of my windows so they can jump between tree, window bed, and other human furniture. They LOVE the window bed and second favorite is the top hidey tent. Only critique: the zipper that holds the tent top in place is extremely attractive to the little chewers. They’re determined to work it off. At least it distracts them from the window blinds. Making the zipper self locking or just hidden and less dangly would be a nice improvement. Overall easy to install. Awesome addition to the cat wonderland. I’ll use the extra parts to build a second small tree, too! ... show more

  • Pretty great, sturdy, attractive, good value Pretty great, sturdy, attractive, good value
I read the most critical reviews before buying. They mention stripped connectors and catastrophic column failure. Seems to me the problem is with over-tightening the connections, as the photos seem to show clearly. The instructions don't give much detail here, so I just made sure to snug them up, but not apply any serious torque. The strength of the column depends on clean compression from ceiling to floor, NOT on the tightness of the connections between segments. I did pay careful attention to the ceiling compression adjusters, assuring uniform tightness of all 3 adjuster bolts. I've given the column some pretty sharp side knocks to test, more force than a big cat bouncing off of it mid column could exert, and I am confident that it is plenty sturdy for its purpose. It looks pretty good. The quality of the plywood is better than some of the product photos show, with minimal gaps in the plies, and a smooth finish. I'm very satisfied, especially of the value for money. Important: the cats like it. ... show more

  • Touchy assembly, poor packaging, but a nice option if the stars align for you Touchy assembly, poor packaging, but a nice option if the stars align for you
The height flexibility is wonderful and it seems sturdy once it is up. Assembly is not so wonderful - assembly works when it does, but there are some issues. Packaging of the item is very poor... no styrofoam to hold items, just thin packing material around a few of the boards. Everything flops around in the bag, resulting in risk of broken or smashed parts and torn hardware bags, etc. The first one I got arrived with several parts damaged: a smashed tube, the arms broken off of the hammock frame, and the hardware bag torn open. I contacted the manufacturer and they don't provide any part replacements, so I ordered a new one and have to return the prior one to amazon. Very wasteful (and annoying given the package weight!) but fortunately I held onto it until I got the replacement. While assembling the replacement, I couldn't get the zippered hut to screw onto the board... the threads in the board were just a bit too deep set and wouldn't catch no matter how hard I pressed even though they worked fine with just the screw. So I pulled the board out from the damaged unit, and swapped them out and it worked fine. So the second one had a bad part as well. The second one was drop-shipped with the USPS handling the final step. They held it for me to pick up since it was so heavy. Items of this size should NOT be shipped through the USPS - it defeats the purpose of having something shipped to my home. So far my cat hasn't used it, but I'm hoping! ... show more

  • Stable, Easy, Fun
I have to rave about this. Granted, I've had it for a week, but my new kitten loves it. It's so stable, and easy to install. I've never tried one like this and I feel much more confident about safety. I only wish there were additional styles, with wider softer spaces for my senior cat. But this is a serious tree for a cat to simulate outdoor climbing. The only platform that hasn't been a hit was the bubble, but I had a spare flat platform because my ceilings top out at 95". Highly recommend. I'm going to try their other products, too, like the cat carrier and wall furniture. ... show more

  • Easy to install modern cat tower Easy to install modern cat tower
Easy install, seems like great quality, post are very thick and each shelf is rubber wood plywood. No smell noted. Fits my 96 feet ceiling. I used 4 long and 1 short post then the top tension post. I was able to use all 5 platforms. I put a couple treats on the platforms to encourage play. Hopefully this will last with two cats as I really love the modern look. ... show more

  • Sturdy, large, apt friendly and cat loves it! Sturdy, large, apt friendly and cat loves it!
Winter kitty really tested this out, leaping from it, running full speed into a fierce climb, rolling around all paws in the air. It was pretty easy to put together. Just needed some help on the top part… it’s well made and sturdy! I have loved other products from this brand so kept loyal. It stays in place despite her wild acrobatics!! She is scared to death of the clear bubble though, would be nice if that had an alternative or a fabric option- She also really rolled around on that top tent. Unfortunately, it’s only secured to the foundation with one screw- so it moves a ton and feels like it could break in time. Would be nice if a more secure options existed. Otherwise cat approved for sure!! Apartment approved!!( love the small footprint!!!). Good buy! Definitely worth the cost ... show more
