The mat is made well enough. I just laid it on the floor and did not try to attach it to anything. I wanted to see if my cat was interested in it first. He was not. He does not want to lie on it. He does not want to scratch it. He is completely disinterested. It is not because it is not a well made product. Just be aware that not all cats will be attracted to it. This cat scratcher mat is amazing! It's built well and durable. It also helps save the carpet as I'm renting. It won't stay on the carpet when put because the floor isn't tile or hardwood so I improvised and put it slightly underneath the door. My cat loves it and uses it daily. She's in the closet for right now since my other cat and her are still getting used to each other. It's a decent price point for it and I believe it will last a while. 4.5 Stars ... show more
