This is an excellent product that I've purchased over and over again, moving a lot with 3 cats. They all use it to scratch as well as to lounge and nap on during the day. Extra special if I sprinkle a little cat nip on top. It's really well constructed and easy to put together if you follow the instructions. Only small issue is it doesn't stay in place on its own, so I use double-sided tape to secure the bottom to the floor, so when they scratch it doesn't move, but this is not a big deal. The media could not be loaded. This scratch post is bigger than I thought! There is some slight assembly required but it brings all the tools you need, although it feels clunky as you’re putting it together. But once it’s built, it feels very sturdy. Stability is easily achieved thanks to the rubber stoppers it brings. The little wood panels are a nice touch to give it a more elevated feel. My cats love it! It does create the pieces of cardboard just like other cat scratchers however, my babies love it and it's actually held up better than the other cat scratchers that I've bought. Great product! I didn't have high hopes that it would dissuade my cat from scratching my new couch but it absolutely does. I bought two and have them on either side of the couch and she almost always goes for them instead of the couch. Besides that, it's a quality item; it's very lightweight and I suppose that's the reason for some of the feedback indicating that they are flimsy but for a cat to use it, obviously they are forced to put their weight on the part that's on the floor and that stabilizes it very well. My cat uses it daily and it got worn out after approximately 2 months but it takes about 5 minutes to unscrew the scratching surfaces and flip them, essentially making it brand new. After another couple of months, they are done but at this price point, that's a great value! ... show more
