  • Awesome price to performance ratio
Size: w/15-45 mm Lens Color: Dark Silver Set: Camera Only
I am dumbfounded at both the feature set, and the picture quality. The state of the art continues to advance, apparently, as this camera outperforms my Xpro1 in most ways. Incredible for the price. My biggest gripe is that it is too small, such that I inadvertantly change settings using buttons on the back while handling it taking pictures. I don’t have particularly large hands, it’s just that small. Overall, I am thrilled with it, and have already taken multiple keepers, the kind you print and cherish. Factoring in how small it is (meaning I am much more willing to bring it along when leaving the house), it’s low price, functionality, and image quality, it has become my favorite camera. I have GAS and don’t shy away from buying expensive gear, so that is saying a lot. It also helps that I already have a good Fuji lens collection. ... show more

  • Awesome retro look and selfie screen!
Size: Base Color: Dark Silver Set: Camera Only
This is an awesome beginner's camera for those looking to upgrade from the camera on their phone! I ended up buying just the base and adding the 18-55 kit lens (international version to save $$$). It takes beautiful pictures in auto mode. I'm still learning the manual controls. Love the retro look and build of this camera. Much more fun to shoot with than traditional Nikon or Canon cameras. I love the selfie flip out screen. Really fun to take selfies with my family. Hopefully Fuji incorporates the flip out screen for all of their mirrorless cameras going forward. I also considered the X-T20 and X-T2 but didn't feel I'd notice the upgrades as a beginner (I was right). This is the best bargain right now. $400 for the base w/out lens. ... show more

  • Highly highly recommend!
Size: Base Color: Champagne Gold Set: Camera Only
I sold my Canon gear and got this baby. She is so gorgeous and the photos are stunning. And it doesn’t weigh a ton. She packs a powerful punch in a tiny body and it’s Fuji so you get the fujicolor and that is why I got this! It is all I wanted in a mirrorless camera (of course the XT30 came out right afterwards) and it was at the right price point (couldn’t afford the xt30 anyway). I’ve exhibited and been shooting for 20 years and this tiny camera can do it all. ... show more

  • if absolutely wonderful crisp. When you eyes need glasses
Size: w/15-45 mm Lens Color: Champagne Gold Set: Camera Only
This is a cute little camera with a very light kit lens, i planned it to be the goto vacation camera. It weights a third of my X-H1 but has similar sized sensor and the X-mount fits my lenses. The Electronic View Finder, EVF, if absolutely wonderful crisp. When you eyes need glasses, the LCD is not the best option, it is nice to just put the EVF to your eye and see clear again ... with the full resolution of your eye. The X-T100 is an entry level camera and it do not try to hide this. You can set it to fully automatic or you can dig into all the manual settings and twist the 4 dials or use the touch screen to "point-focus-and-shoot". The fully automatic mode SR+ is not to my liking, the focus is forced to continuous mode and hunts around, even on high contrast object. This function tries to guess what to focus and it more than often chooses random objects with the focus hunting back and forth. The other modes PASM are more under user control and works just as expected. The many big dials come in handy for quick adjustments in these modes. The focus point can be moved around; but somehow it alway ends up in the corner; properly my big nose hitting the touch screen. The film-simulations are as expected from Fujifilm, nice colors. I would properly limit the ISO to 1600 as 3200 looks too processed. The default auto white-balance seems to be off, to me looks like too much blue; but all can be adjusted in camera. The build-in focus stacking is fun to play with, it runs through the lenses focus range and make a 4k movie, with a sweep of many focus settings. In the play-back menu you can now select the best single frame or more interestingly; combine a many frames into one picture with huge depth-of-field. There will be artifacts; but still a cool feature. The 4k video, well max 15 fps will not work for most people, so it is really only full-HD (1080) that is useful. I found a few FW bugs; but by tradition Fujifilm will properly come with many FW updates. ... show more

  • A little camera with a lot to offer.
Size: w/15-45 mm Lens Color: Dark Silver Set: Camera Only
First off, I whole heartedly recommend this camera. On to the review: having started on a 35 millimeter Nikon from the 70s, and then getting into the DSLR game when they were all still big clunky monstrosities, I was not expecting the svelte little package this camera came in. I unboxed it, picked it up and thought "who knew a mirror took up so much room?" I will say it was a little odd going from old school style cameras to one that does a lot of the work for you, but I found that a good deal of the buttons and switches and toggles were customizable to make it a much more familiar set up for me, then I was off to the races. It took a bit of time to get used to how Fuji lays everything out, but after a little bit of fiddling I found it to be quite intuitive. The build quality on this little guy is fantastic, with lots of confidence inspiring sturdiness and some good grip on the textured part of the body. Admittedly I did add an extra grip since I have fairly large hands and this is a pretty small camera compared to what I am used to, but I'm sure I would have managed just fine without the extra grip. I shoot a lot of extended exposure and bulbs shots so I needed something that had a wide ISO range and a wide selection of lenses to back it up. I am by no means a professional photographer but I do like things to work as they should and so far this hasn't disappointed. the lens that came with the camera shoots it just fine for everyday shooting and messing around, but using some of my older glass with adapters is where this thing really shines since you get the full manual controls. You do have to go into the menu and tell the camera you are shooting a non-standard lens for it to work correctly though. as of now I am completely sold and in love with this little guy. If anything changes or if issues crop up in the future I'll be sure to update the review. ... show more
