If you are reading this you are likely agonizing over the many choices between Polaroid vs Instax, square frame vs mini. Let me tell you, the ability to take any image from your phone and turn it into the 'polaroid' style form factor is a game changer. Here are my highlights: 1) Kids and adults alike seem to adore the ability to hold a picture, not just looking at it on a phone. 2) They are super strong and resist tearing and water in a way that other printing options lack. 3) The fact that they are small means that they will be far more likely to be displayed. It is so much easier to stick one of these on the fridge, car dash, work wall, and more in a way that a 4x6 wont fit. Can you find other cheaper options to print yourself? Sure, but the savings will be fairly marginal, and the unique and 'old-fashioned' form factor is something that does JUST what photography is supposed to do... emotionally resonate with the person holding it. CONS: only one, connecting it to your phone is tricky but you get the hang of it after a few times. Turn off other wifi connections (including the auto connect) and it works more seamlessly. ... show more

Man, what an amazing little printer this is. I’ve always wanted to jump into the instant photo craze but was hesitant because the newer cameras weren’t that good. I grew up with the original polaroids and we had a decent camera. The first batch of instant camera films of the last 10 years were just alright IMO. Anyway, I waited till they released a good printer that had the similar square format I grew up with. Yeah it’s smaller in size but for me, the size is just right. I prefer them to the larger size photos of the 80’s because they take up less space and aren’t too small where you have to squint. Best of all, you can format your pictures before hand and compose it just right to fill up the 2.5”x2.5” space you get. I haven’t had any bad looking images at all as other people have mentioned. Even with some of the bad reviews, I took a chance and I’m so glad I did. The photos look beautiful and best of all is the colors pop, the blacks are excellent, not perfect but excellent. If you feed the machine, nice, sharp photos, it’ll deliver a great print. I'll go through the cons first: So I just received this printer and have already printed a few pictures. For me, the app has been a little annoying because I am trying to print a lot of pictures that are already on my phone from a while back. When doing so, I need to go back and forth from reconnecting from my home wifi to the instax printer wifi for basically every picture. When I take a picture straight on the app, I don't seem to be having the connection issue and it prints right away. Another con (or I guess suggestion): unfiltered photos/or those light on the filtered side show up better than heavily filtered photos. The app has its own filter it applies to pictures (this feature can be turned off if you choose) so because of this, I suggest printing the original picture. For example if you use the huji app to take pics, those came out super dark when I printed them so I don't recommend printing that style. However despite the 2 negative comments, I absolutely will still give this printer 5 stars. The pictures are beautiful and have such a nostalgic feel. It's not a hard device to use. I've literally had it for about 30 mins and I absolutely adore this product. I'm sure I'll figure out the kinks as I keep using it but if you don't mind wasting a few exposures just to figure it out, I think it's definitely worth every penny! I absolutely LOVE my Fujifilm Instax SP-3 Mobile Printer! My husband got me one as a gift, and I loved it so much that I bought a second one (shhh… I lost the first one 🤫). As an ESL teacher, this little printer has become a heartwarming part of my classroom. I have a wall dedicated to the happy memories my students make throughout the school year, and they get so excited when they see new pictures appear. It’s such a beautiful way to build community, and the students love spending time looking at the wall. One of my favorite moments was when a student asked if I could print a picture for him to give to his grandmother—so sweet! I also love giving the photos as end-of-year gifts for my students. The app is super easy to use, and the filters help ensure the images come out sharp and vibrant every time. It runs on WiFi, which takes a minute to connect, but it’s totally worth it to avoid wasting film and guarantee a perfect shot. This printer is my favorite thing, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone who loves creating and sharing memories! ... show more

It's so much easier to have your photos printed from your phone than an actual Fujifilm Instax camera the print quality is good. As long as the quality is good on your phone it will print out good. A big confusion I was reading was people were having trouble setting up the WiFi this can easily be done, The printer has its own built in WiFi so you'll have to go to your WiFi setting and connect to the Instax printer's WiFi and then it may say to put the initial password which may throw things off a bit but it's the 4 number code that is shown on your phone. All in all i love my printer and I also have to Instax SP-2 ... show more
