  • If you don't own tools and have mechanical skills, don't buy it or don't gripe about the shortfalls.
First and foremost: This is not a Honda or Yamaha... if you are not mechanically inclined and own some hand tools, you will probably be quickly disappointed, so move on. If you want a high quality bike that you will not have to repair, maintain and customize, go buy a new Yamaha PW50 for $1500. If you like like tinkering, customizing and enjoy a bargain, read on. Overall, this little bike is a good value. Like all inexpensive Chinese powersports products, it is for the most part solid and reliable. The frame is solid with good welds. The engine is a Honda GX35 clone, parts aplenty. The plastics and controls are cheaply made and will break at some point. Replacement parts are dirt cheap and readily available. The clutch/chain drive is the same thing as many pocket bikes and bicycle engine kits, readily available. You WILL have to tighten bolts, add lock washers and fix piddly things. Initial impressions and suggestions: 1. Immediately drain the oil that comes in it and replace it. Mine had fine metal particles from machining (They don't do a great job cleaning engine parts before assembly) I put in Mobil1 10W40 and will change it again after the first few hours of use. 2. This little bike is way too fast for a beginner. The stock twist throttle appears to be adjustable, but is poorly designed and made and does not actually adjust. Replace it with a thumb throttle (with an actual stop screw to limit speed) for about $15 here on Amazon. 3. Other reviewers had mentioned the rear sprocket loosening as an issue. I found the initial chain tension extremely tight, and not lubricated. Remove the rear axle nut and chain adjuster to get a straight shot at the socket head cap screws, remove them one at a time and add lock washers (and a drop of loctite) to each bolt to prevent this issue. Lubricate the main drive chain with some real chain lube. 4. The gear reduction chaincase (from the clutch to the rear drive chain) has very poor lubrication from the factory (looks like very small amount of clear silicone grease). Remove the four small and two larger bolts from the cover and put a healthy amount of real chain/bearing grease on the internal chain and sprockets. 5. Check the bike over after each use until you are comfortable that the little issues are worked out. I will update this review as we put more hours on it. ... show more

  • Great mini bike at a great price!
Okay, so we bought this for our 5 yr old, but the adults have as much fun on this thing as our kids! We are all 130-170 lbs and tall (5'7-5'11) and are able to putter around on this thing. It starts super easy. We even puttered around with a kid on the bike with us, so I would say that it will handle up to 200 lbs. It feels much faster than the 18 mph that it's supposed to go, probably due to close proximity to the ground=) *A note on the seller: the bike came to us with a broken front fender. I reached out to the seller. They immediately sent out a replacement (albeit the wrong fender!) A second replacement fender was just received (yes, the correct one). We are very pleased with the promptness and courteous nature of the seller with our little issue. ... show more

  • DO NOT BUY...
First off, I bought this bike expecting things to break. I am a bit of a handyman/mechanic and take pride in fixing MOST things 🛠⚙. Let me start off with what I got out of the box. Assemble was easy enough. Follow the instructions if you are daring enough to purchase this hunk, as I was. Overall, the bike is solid, as in STURDY AF. Literally, the bike is solid, as in ZERO suspension. I gave the review 1/5 for sturdiness because sturdy to me also means "DOES NOT BREAK". MANY parts of this bike WILL break if you buy it... Unless you plan on setting it up for display or something. Read ahead for my adventure. The review I read prior to buying said "be ready to fix things". As I already stated, I'm pretty good at that. Straight out of the box, I changed the oil as instructed by a previous customer. I also went ahead and lubed up the chain really good and added air to the tires. Once ready for my children's motor bike action, I filled up the gas tank to discover a crappy gas tank grommet leaking gas. I had to drain the gas, let it dry, and patch it up so he wouldn't have a gas leak. The bike started up after a few pulls and worked like a champ for about a week. In that week, the gas tank cover was busted because when you turn too far left or right, the bars hit the cover and eventually break the plastic for the tank. Whatever... just cosmetics to me. The crummy plastic fake-rubber on the pegs was busted off after about an hour of riding too, but once again... cosmetic. Additionally in that week, the pull start decided to uncoil. This was my prime opportunity to finally fix something worth-wile on this bike. While fixing the pull start, I also replaced the pull start handle, as the piece of plastic was no match for my master pull-starting son 💪💪. After about 2 weeks, the throttle assembly finally showed it's cheap-plastic prowess and finally gave out. Just to let you know, I also was informed to buy a new thumb throttle and install straight out of the box, but I thought I would give the factory throttle a go. I'll give it 2 thumbs up 👍👍 for 2 weeks of solid craftsmanship 💩💩... I installed my newly purchased thumb throttle while my kid anxiously awaits his dirt bike... Little did he know, the bike's motor was about to throw a surprise party! 🎈🎉🎁 Once I adjusted the newly installed thumb throttle and sent my son to ride, not even 20 minutes after his ride the motor stopped turning over and he could no longer start it. It even gave me problems starting. Now, as I said, I'm a bit of a tinkerer. I know a thing or two about motors and fixin' stuff. Well, after a bit of diagnostics, to my discovery, the intake was PUSHING out air instead of sucking air in! When I opened up the valve cover, to my surprise, was a bunch of gasket and plastic pieces like someone busted a piñata inside the engine! The motor monkey must have really taken my piñata statement a little too seriously. Attached is a picture of the presents in the motor. Needless-to-say, the motor is shot and I now have a newfound disgust for buying anything that says "Made in China". I either need to buy a new motor or rig up a lawnmower engine. I guess I'll see what I can dig up on YouTube to get my kid back up and running. I hope my writeup leaves folks with the same bad taste and understand they are flushing their money down the drain. DO NOT BUY... ... show more

  • It’s not that bad…
The boy likes it and that’s what matters. I had to have the pull start mechanism replaced ( free from supplier ) the recoil broke internally. I think it’s an issue .. they got me one right away. Other than that, I would say it’s a nice starter / throw away bike. Many things design wise I would change. Handle bar mounts and turn stops Foot pegs All of the welds are crap! Gas tank mounts ( broke due to over travel if handle bars) and ..they are plastic like the rest of the bike.. all of the controls ( throttle , break, kill switch) are cheap plastic easily broken. change oil often! No joke.. run it for an hour or so.. change it.. run it for a few more hours .. change it.. then you can probably go for a summer between. All of this said.. the kid likes it. It’s a win. ... show more
