We have plantation shutters for all of our windows so I wanted something that somewhat matched them and this really does look like real blinds. Our sidelight has lightly textured glass and I know clings are recommended for flat glass only, but I thought I would at least try this to see if it would work. After I liberally sprayed the window with water, I had no problem getting the film to stick. Once it was in place, I trimmed it to size using an exacto knife and then placed very small pieces of invisible tape in the corners just to be sure it stays. Included with the film was a hard plastic piece to use to get the bubbles out. I still need to go over it again but I wanted to jump on here to leave my review and share a picture. I am impressed that these truly do look like blinds. With the lightly textured glass, the film has given us the right amount of privacy along with blocking out our HOT Florida sun and heat! PS What’s awesome IMO about this is, if you don’t like how it looks, it’s easily taken down and easily reapplied. You just can’t go wrong!

Used this for the window on the door exiting to the attached garage. I was searching for something other than semi-sheer curtains or mini blinds because the cat was having a field day! Worked out great. I would have given it 5 stars, but it did take some time and patience to get the air bubbles out of the film. Nonetheless, I love the end result!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five Out of Five Stars! After giving the once-over to all of the available reviews, I admit it got my attention there were a couple of critics. I also noticed the specific language which set the tone for their opinion, it was clearly disappointment and/or anger (at not being able to figure just how easy and simple and a real JOY to work with, this product truly is). I'm so thrilled with it, I'D RECOMMEND IT FOR SURE! It is the easiest and most effective way to create privacy and yet it will not cause a feeling of being closed-in at all. Instead it creates the illusion of more openness. Even a rookie DIY'er can easily achieve a professional finish - it's so easy that it is actually FUN to apply! I bought these at an excellent price and waited a few short days, anxiously. I am NOT DISAPPOINTED, I AM OVERJOYED and GRATEFUL too! What I've learned is that reading all available reviews can indeed help one make an informed decision and it helps to give greater credence to those commenters who articulate more meaningful insight based on sharing their personal experience with the product while using details, facts and specific perspective of a practical end user/consumer. It makes for a great look. My window panels on the side of my front door had some type of material on it when I purchased the house that I never removed. I decided to remove it and give my front entrance a new look. It has lightened up my entrance and my family loves the new look.

KNOW THIS!!! This item comes off the roll VERTICALLY. The description states this, in fairness, but when you measure your window, you'll most likely have to plan on piecing it to cover your entire window. We were able to cut off/piece from the roll we purchased, but what a PITA! I really wanted the horizontal installation. Fairly easy to install, and we had no problems with bubbles once we were finished. Plan on it stretching a bit. We had to trim the window film twice. You will need a new, sharp razor blade. WHAT I DO NOT LIKE...Some of the "white" stripes appear gray, with no discernable repeat pattern. I've lived with it on my window for two weeks and it's been seen in various light and weather conditions. Some stripes still look gray. I'm about to rip it off the window as I am not satisfied with the two-tone stripes.

This window film really provides privacy. I bought it for my leaving room window and I put it in one section of my window so far (Center), I tested it and not much can be seen from the outside which was what I was looking for. I am sharing a picture before completing the project so you can see bottom part vs top part. After I took the picture, I continue placing the film on the whole window. Also it makes the window look nice and decorative. I recommend this product.
