This a/c was purchased to replace a very undersized a/c, so I expected it to make a difference in the temperature. I was not disappointed. Approximately 750 sf of space has maintained 74-76 degrees in the heat of a summer in Texas since the install. That’s impressive. One installation note - when we first installed the unit water was spitting through the front vents. We had to adjust the tilt to nearly an inch before it stopped. No issues since. Cools 500 sq ft in minutes. Remote sensing feature works well as thermostat. A little loud but tolerable. Heavy to install and recommend 2 people for initial placement. I have had the unit for over a year now and by far is the best I have had in this location in the last 20 yrs.

This machine works great. Wasn't sure what machine to buy. There were simular, and a little cheeper machines out there but they had some bad reviews about there performance.. This one was a little bit more money but only had bad reviews about poor installation or shipping damage.. Mine came in the mail with no damage, and i installed it myself.. Its heavy tho. Had to modify my outer window sill to accomidate a bracket for it. But other than that. So far its quiet (really quiet) and runs great. Keep my 1100 sq foot home nice and cold during the last heat wave we went through. ... show more

    • Works very well May come missing screws and some physical damage.
It was cracked on the front but not so you see it. It had some coil dents but did not leak coolant as it is working very well as i write this. It is much quieter than our other one. Instructions are a little confusing just take your time don't hurry. I'm thinking this will be a good unit as the one i have like is 25 years old and still working some what. ... show more

Really enjoyed it when the heat was on but it is intermittently noisy, sometimes it sounds like you’re next to a helicopter and other times it’s decently quiet.

Man this A/C is awesome for the summer. It quickly cool my apartment to chilled temperature. My wife love the cold soooo sweaters,socks and pant for me. Hahaha awesome a/c. Note to remember because of the weight install extra support. What i did was go to home depot and purchased flat steel bar. Cut it to A/C size, drilled one hole to each side and attached them to the bottom of A/C case. Once done i place the case onto window support and you can feel it's not going to fall. Don't forget to add window support L bracket the come with a/c . ... show more

    • Silent and cold, like my ex girlfriend.
I was tired of my house heating up like a Finnish sauna in the summertime, so I decided to invest in getting an air conditioner of the appropriate size. I'm quite satisfied with this unit. The only tiny issue I have is there there is no indication of the active mode (Cool, Fan, Dry, etc.) on the remote and the text is very tiny, so you can't really tell for certain and you'd have to walk up to the unit to tell... which kind of defeats some of the purposes of a remote. ... show more

We purchased this unit because it would fit into the casing from a previous Frigidaire A/C that was over 5 years old and finally gave out. This one is quiet and works GREAT! If you need a 15,000 BTU window air conditioner. This one is a keeper.
