This water dispenser comes preset. Read the directions before you plug it in. The water is cool enough, but the hit water isn't as hot as sime people like for tea and you cannot change the settings. I found 5 gal. bottles too big to use easily and recommend 3 gal. bottles. Water weighs about 8.6 lbs a gal. and that can be a lot to lift when putting in a new bottle. ... show more

If I hadn't already thrown out the packaging I would return it immediately. (Speaking of, The packaging it came in was torn, wet and literally taped together. Should've returned immediately just after looking at it). It was similar clean, definitely stuff marks and the most annoying thing is it DOESNT COOL OT HEAT the water. I'm now forced to buy ice and still use stove top. 1000% a waste of money. The reason I waited so long to set it up and use it was because I was in the middle of moving and it sat there in its huge ugly/ditty box because I needed to make room for it. This is a great little unit. It's quiet and tucks neatly into the corner of my kitchen. It allows my grandkids to get their own cold water, which makes them feel grown up and encourages them to drink more water. And the lock on the hot water, while not complicated, is enough to prevent accidents. Which is good, because it is HOT water - i can make a cup of tea right from the faucet. It is well worth the cost. Get some of the reusable bottle caps to go with it, as most supermarkets have setups to refill the bottles at about half the price of exchanging them. ... show more

I wanted to give this a fair month to see if all the things I read were true but it really keeps the cold water cold. I fill up a 32 oz water bottle and it's plenty cold after. The hot gets HOT like hotter than my coffee, and the safety switch is easy enough to figure out. As far as the height, I sat it on top of a sturdy milk crate for the taller members in the house as I'm the shortest. I use the 4 gallon size water bottles from Sam's club, bought reusable caps and refill and haven't had any issues with leaking or anything. I can hear the heater and cooler kick on and off but it's no louder than an air conditioner or house heat so it doesn't bother me at all. Delivery was fast which I needed, I waited 24 hours to leave it upright after I received it. ... show more
