There are some things I liked about this BMX bike and some things I did not like. Things I liked: • This bike was easy to assemble. The instructions were good with only a few areas where intuition was needed fill a gap. I was able to assemble this using only the tools provided with the bike. • This is a good-looking BMX bike with the blue wheels white handlebars, sprocket, and seat. When I showed it to my 9-year-old granddaughter, she thought it was “so cool.” • The seat is well-padded and should be comfortable. • This bike is not super light, but it is fairly lightweight. • The frame and components seem strong and should hold up to punishment. Things I didn’t like: • I did notice that the paint on the handlebars and frame was easily scratched during assembly. • This bike only has a rear brake. It does seem to work fine, but stopping power will be less than with two brakes. • The seat height is not adjustable unless you have an Allen wrench with you. • The bike came with a cheap flimsy chain guard and plastic mounts. However, the instructions do not show you how to mount it, and there were not enough mounting screws to mount it anyway. Since the images don’t show the bike with a chain guard, I just left it off. • The rear wheel came mounted on the bike frame, but was not mounted straight. I noticed a slight wobble in the rear wheel causing it to rub against the frame. I had to loosen the bolts (with my own tools) and re-align the rear wheel. The wobble, however, means the wheel is not perfectly straight. • The mounting hole for one of the four pegs was not close to the center of the peg. I was able to carefully mount it on the wheel, but I was concerned that it was off by that much. • This bike is not inexpensive for a bike that claims, “Ideal for BMX Beginners.” A quick online search brough up a volume of non-pro level BMX bikes that were less expensive than this one. ... show more

I feel like the Vollsch Freestyle BMX Bikes 20 Inch is a good purchase for its quality and style. The quality seems excellent with a high-tensile steel frame that’s sturdy and durable for tricks. I really like the beautiful blue color because it looks cool and vibrant on the street. The directions were clear for assembly, just a quick tighten of the brakes and seat. The bike rides smoothly with single speed for easy control. My 8 year old son loves this bike and the white tires are his favorite. I picked up the Vollsch Freestyle BMX Bikes 20 Inch in the blue variation. It comes with the steel frame, U-brake, plastic pedals, and adjustable seat. It's the perfect size for my son and I feel like it's worth every penny ... show more
