  • A Really Great Ebike!
Color: Blue Style: With Bike Rack
My husband and I purchased 2 Freesky wildcat ebikes back in July and absolutely love them! My husband had been researching various different ebikes online and we decided to go with the Freesky wildcat and we definitely made the right choice. Everything from the ebikes themselves to the customer service was fantastic. I had a few questions before we actually purchased the ebikes and Hugh was both quick to respond and helpful in answering all of my questions. My husband had no problems with the assembly and said that the instructions were pretty straightforward. We've been amazed at how long the battery lasts on a full charge which is one of the things that was important to us when deciding on ebikes. We paid for the upgrade so our bikes came with the accessories package which included a helmet, mirrors, cellphone holder, back rack and also a bag for the rack, locks and an upgraded shock absorber and we're glad we did. We did buy different seats but mostly because we wanted a wider seat not because there was anything wrong with the seats that came with the bikes because they are actually pretty comfortable. The bikes go plenty fast enough for us and we like the fact that we can choose between full electric mode, manual mode or pedal assist which is both electric and pedaling at the same time. When choosing the pedal assist mode the pedaling is very easy which is also referred to as ghost pedaling. When it comes to ebikes these days there are many different options out there and they're not created equal. Everybody is is different and everyones priorities are different when looking to purchase an ebike and the Freesky wildcat ebikes checked most of our boxes. If you're on the fence about purchasing one of the Freesky wildcat ebikes I say go for it........you'll be glad you did!!! ... show more

  • Need help turning it on or understanding the PAS modes? I've got answers!
Color: Red Style: Standards
I'll begin by saying I love this bike. It's zippy and looks cool. The quality is at a high level. It feels well-made and not rinky-dink like some of the others I've seen around the neighborhood that kids got for Christmas. Now let me tell you of some of the problems I've had with the bike. To start with, this bike has an identity crisis. Here on Amazon it's generically referred to as a FREESKY 3500W Peak Dual Motor Electric Bike, but after cross-referencing with the FREESKY web site and a variety of YouTube videos, I've come to realize this is the same bike referred to as the FREESKY Ranger and the FREESKY M540. This was a big source of confusion for me as I was doing my research before buying the bike! The other big confusion for me is the fact that the user manual and most of the literature online give different instructions for how to turn on the bike and what the different PAS modes do. It took me an embarrassing long time figuring out how to even turn the dang bike on!! The type of display screen and control panel on the bike I received did not match the one shown in the user manual or most of the videos shown on FREESKY's website or in the Amazon description. Finally, I stumbled across a video that gave proper instructions for the type of display and control unit of my bike. If you go to the "Product Videos" section of this page and scroll down to the bottom of the list of "Videos for this product" on the right side of the page, you will see a video called "How to power on&off the ebike-King meter". I guess FREESKY updated the display/control unit on the bike and forgot to update any of their literature. To save you time, I'll tell you the secret, you just need to tap the flat rectangular plastic card thing-a-majig on top of the thumb control panel that's on the left side of the handlebars (not the LED display screen, but the panel with the up/down and left/right push buttons on it). Oh ya, and before you tap it, you need to first make sure you've toggled the on/off button on the battery to on (the 1 is on and the 0 is off). You can toggle the battery switch through a little hole in the aluminum frame that's covered with a rubber plug you can remove. You don't have to take the battery out of the frame to turn on the switch like the instructions say. I guess there didn't used to be a hole in the frame to give you access to the battery switch. There's also a hole in the frame giving you access to the charge port as well. A couple more confusing things were the explanations for the different PAS modes and the instructions for how to unlock the speed limit on the bike. As far as I can tell, PAS 0 means you do all the peddling with no help from the motors (even pushing the throttle lever with your thumb doesn't do anything), PAS 1 gives you a little bit of help pedaling and allows you to use the throttle lever if you want to, but the motors will only assist you up to about 17 mph. PAS 2 gives you a little more assistance pedaling and moves the assist speed limit up to about 20 mph. PAS 3, 4, and 5 provide more and more assistance as you pedal, but still have the assist speed limit of 20 mph unless you unlock the bike. To unlock the bike (or put more correctly, change the speed limit from 20mph to 45mph), you simply need to long press the right green turn signal arrow for a few seconds right after turning on the bike. You will see the display change from 20mph to 45mph if you do it correctly. Until I realized this only works when the bike is stopped, I couldn't figure out how to get the higher speeds. When the speed limit has been changed to 45mph, then PAS 1's limit is still about 17mph, but PAS 2's limit is about 25mph, and the higher PAS modes all have the higher limit of 45mph. In actuality, the fastest I've been able to get the bike to go is about 35mph, but that was booking, and I wouldn't normally want to be going that fast. Oh, one more thing, as far as I can tell, the walk assist mode isn't really a mode. You simply put the bike in PAS 0 mode, and then whenever you want a little assist with pushing the bike, you have to push down on the minus (-) button on the controller. It only assists you while holding the button down. I hope this helps someone. I love this bike so far, and especially love the quick acceleration when I'm in dual motor mode (just long-press the left green turn signal button to go into dual motor mode). ... show more

  • Freesky wildcat ultra Christmas 2025
So far, best purchase I ever made! Come packaged really well. Beautiful paint. Flawless, every part perfect with no scratches or warping. Assembly was quick and easy. 2000w motor is unbelievably quite and powerful. Unrealistic quality for the low purchase price. Rode 37 miles and battery level still reads fully charged. Steep hills are basically level smooth riding with this ebike. It's fast enough to leave biting dogs just barking. Old man winter give me some warm weather for ebike riding! ... show more

  • A very sturdy bike
Color: Blue Style: With Bike Rack
Ease of assembly - the instructions (especially the pictures) could be better. Thankfully, the bike comes 80-90% assembled. It took me a couple hours to assemble the bike. If there are videos to help with assembly and bike operation, the links should be provided in a readily apparent way. I think I am going to love this bike. ... show more

  • Great bike, especially for the money!
Color: Blue Style: Standards
Great bike. Super happy so far. Assembly was easy and fairly quick, though the manual could be improved. I’ve already put over 60 miles in over the first three days. Performance is great. The ride is great. It’s a heavy bike but that isn’t an issue for me. I’m a big guy 250 lbs. Range seems in line with claims so far but I have pushed below 40% yet. Torque when both motors are active is very impressive. Motorcycle quick. I did hit that 33 mph shutdown limit that others have mentioned. Pulling the battery resets. But I’m sure I’ll figure that out and it really isn’t much of an issue for me anyway. Overall quality seems very good so far. Great value compared to the name brand bikes I had been considering. I’d buy this again if I needed a 2nd bike. ... show more

  • Bike shuts off at about 33 mph then remove battery and the start over. Not sure what’s up yet
Color: Black Style: Standards
I rode it across town. Still learing features and functions. I don’t think one button is working but rode about 20 miles battery has about 45 percent left and I drove most of the way at 28 mph both motors and I weight 310 lbs. I am happy with the purchase.

  • Great bike
Color: Blue Style: Standards
The bike came without a scratch. It’s well built, smooth and fast. I’m 6’3” 230 and have no trouble getting 35mph. I only have 56 miles on the bike but the range estimates seem accurate
