The main rack itself seems reasonably sturdy, and the angled chrome arms are fine. But it came with NO instructions or even photos (I had to look on the amazon page to infer various things), and it was missing several critical pieces of hardware. So I had to dig around in my decades-old toolbox and parts container to find some bolts long enough to mount the angled arms and their bracket, along with nuts (I ended up using wing nuts!). On my daughter's bike, a 3/4-size mountain bike, what would have been the mounting point on the rear fork was unusable because the rack would interfere with the brake cable/closure. I had to mount it farther up on the fork, using a bottom plate I added to hold it in place. All in all, extremely frustrating, and turned what should have been a 15-minute job into a 90-minute job trying various solutions to replace the missing hardware. Also, the mounting plate for a rear reflector was bent (I bent it back with pliers), a further indication of poor quality control. For now, seems ok for the intended purpose, but likely will not be durable over the long term.

Good sturdy rack, just make sure it fits your bike. It won’t work on an e-bike due to the way it connects to the frame of the bike. If it fits, it will serve you well.

I wanted a rear rack that could be disassembled into a flat package for shipping with my bike (I do 4-6 day tours). It had to be reasonably sturdy for light loads and commuting. Lastly, it had to be mountable on my complex bike which has disc brakes, a rohloff rear hub, and fat tires. This rack checked all the boxes. It is not the build quality of a fine tubus or nitto rack, but it should be good for several years and the price is appropriate. I am impressed with how rigid the rack is - probably helped by my bike's sturdy frame and well placed rack mounting holes. The bike is a 2021 Surly Bridge Club medium frame. update: I had an array of blinky taillights mounted to the rear light mount of this rack. While riding, I hit a bump and the bracket broke off. The break was right in the weld that held the light mount. This indicates a poor quality weld. The rack is still functioning and will probably continue to hold up for commuting. I remounted the lights with some stainless hose clamps.

So I saw a review that said “in no way is it heavy duty”; I agree! I didn’t buy it to ride a person in the back but I did find a pad you could hook onto one of these and thought it’d be a nice option if ever needed. But for camping or ling rides if I had a heavy pack even I worried as I built it. The structure after built and installed seems to be better but I would never ride a human on it. But it’ll work work carrying items. Also if you look in the provided photos, the sides and the rack have to be attached. In half the photos (the ones with the bicycle) in this ad it is welded as one piece. I know my bike is set up a little different but even near the axle point of attachment I had to use my own nuts and bolts to fit. My bike doesn’t have the side holes under the seat and I noticed this came with the attachment (which is why I bought this one in the first place) seems to work. It would work better if my bike had a different rear brake system.

Also heavy duty. No installation instructions not even a picture but I got it mounted ok. It feel apart first time out. I had to buy longer SHCS (cap screws) coated them with spray paint for a thread locker and tightened as much as I dated. I substituted cheap screws with the SHCS screws and didn’t get the tight enough so the came loose and fell out after 2 hours. It’s a great cargo rack just be sure the screws are tight as possible

Bought this rack to put on an old cheap bike and I guess I got what I payed for. First, it didn't come with any instructions or even a picture I could reference. I screwed the four arms on wrong initially because of this.Eventually I realized the connectors slot in to the arm and fixed it ,but its an easy mistake to make and could halve led to a critical failure when the screws inevitably break under enough load. Second, the quality of the parts is poor. Everything was slightly off,scuffed or asymmetrical.The worst was one of the holes in silver arms. It was so completely off center I almost sent it back right there ,but it doesn't support any weight so I'll stick with it. Lastly, they're not very generous with what they give you.No tools or extra parts and if you need the adapter you'll need an extra nut and bolt. It's still usable and for a my bike it is appropriate. Would give it 2.5 stars if I could.
