The Frameo 10.1 is a great purchase. I even bought a 2nd one for myself and my BF got one for his Granny. Setup happens in a couple minutes. Then download the Frameo app (free) and add the frame (friend) and start uploading. My brother (in another state) and I added several photos/videos for my parents. It has about 14 GB on board memory and that can be expanded with a memory card. Notes: You can only delete from the frame. You also have the option to hide photos and mute video. The app will allow you to edit the caption.

I bought one of these for my desk at work and have since bought several more as gifts for other people. You do need to setup an account but there is no subscription for what I would consider basic features like other frames. Super simple to share a code and invite others to contribute photos. Picture quality is great. Audio quality is okay, but I kind of hate when people put videos with audio on these frames anyway. Lots of control over how the photos show up, so they crop to fill the screen, show the full photo with black in the areas that are blank, or do a blurred version to fill the empty space. You can quickly hide photos you don’t want to see if someone happens to put a photo on the frame you don’t want. Easily put photos on with a micro SD cards or the frameo app. You can also make a backup onto a micro SD card of all the photos on the frame which is an awesome feature. Supports photos, video, and honestly has just about every feature you could want accessible through the touch screen. I believe these are just Android tablets rooted to run just the frameo app. Not sure what the specs on the tablet are, but doesn’t matter much as it works really well. I use mine at my desk for work and in the hospital while recovering from surgery and it was so nice to have. You can swipe through pictures too. Great to have for myself as well as a conversation starter as different photos pop up. We used one at my father I laws funeral and just for that it’s worth it. You can send out the code and have everyone send their photos to the frame. Makes collecting photos from everyone really easy. Can also be used for trade shows to easily have small digital signage. I have used other digital picture frames and they either don’t have enough features or have features locked by a subscription service. I wouldn’t buy a digital picture frame unless it’s running the frameo app.

Absolutely a great product. This is the second one that I’ve end up buying easy to install for my parents and I love the fact that I can have the app on my phone and send them photos whenever I want to add to the picture frame would absolutely recommend.

it is a good product, easy to use and has a clear picture. however, it did come slightly damaged. i don’t mind it because its not very noticeable but something to keep in mind as I've seen other reviews saying theirs also came damaged.

I normally take care of all the technology in our family from setting up the network to all the computer modifications/updates. My past background is software & hardware. I spent the better part of a morning trying to get pictures and/or movies running on this frame with a direct connection to my PC. I have years or pictures and movies on my computer which I have used on other frames. Most of my movies are in AVI format. But this frame does not support this format. Supposedly it does support MP4 and MOV formats, but even a few of the movies I had in this format I could never get to display on the frame. I finally got some JPGs on the frame, but when I tried transferring a lot more, it would look like pictures were transferring but then nothing would show up in the file structure. It looked like it was preprocessing the files to decide what was acceptable. I finally gave up and just resigned myself to the 200+ pictures it would display which is a small portion on the 16gb internal memory.

We ordered two of these frames for our moms. They LOVE them. It has allowed our kids across the country to load pictures and both of our moms say it is their favorite gift of the year. Setting it up was simple. Once it was plugged in and connected they were able to understand the simple screen functions. I plan to order another one for me!
