I love this backpack! The reason I got it was because 1. I needed a backpack and 2. It was advertised as being able to charge my phone. As a teenager, I couldn’t refuse. Note: the only downside to being able to charge my phone is that I had to also buy a power bank. I found a good one, (as pictured above) so it wasn’t that much of a hassle. Another great thing is the space. I play soccer and it’s nice to be able to fit my cleats, shin guards, an extra pair of shoes, as well as a sweatshirt and water bottle, all in one thing. I have not tried to carry around a computer, but my dad’s computer fit in it pretty comfortably. The protective pocket in the back is also a plus, and my iPhone 11 easily fits with room to spare. The front pocket has a key ring which I think is useful. I recently got the back of the backpack drenched (it rained at soccer practice) and it dried very well. (Just don’t dunk it into a lake 😂.) The back pocket, which is the one I use for my soccer gear, smells horrible. BUT there is a protective lining of (I think) plastic, which will make it easy to clean. One of the only downsides to this backpack is that I couldn’t use it for a family vacation; I had too many things to pack without breaking it. But it would be good for a two day stay somewhere. Good quality and durable; which means it doesn’t break when I throw it over my fence until I can get to the other side. Easily a five star and would recommend! ... show more

I've used this just twice for travel abroad. Once you make logical decisions about where to put things, it's near perfect.m I used the largest, inner portion for things I didn't need to access. Coming back from Sweden I put coffee and frozen rye bread in the bottom. I out my sandwiches that I'd want for my long layover, hours later, right on top of the frozen bread. I out a bad of specialty,only available in Europe potato chips at the top.Perfect! I have but one caviat: the pouches on the sides for holding the water bottles/ coffee canister are too shallow. I understand that this is to allow a deep zipper for the section next to it. I had my water bottle slip out, on the plane and in the overhead, more than once. Not cool! Love it though. Makes me happy when I see it as it reminds me of happy travels. ... show more

I haven't used this yet as we're heading out in 3 week, but I thought there might be a chance of returning it if it were too small. I've never used a Backpack before and didn't want one too large. I'll also have a new Carry On (also from Amazon) and I like which has a Strap on the back to slide it down the extended handle of the Carry On. I don't really see me using the Backpack by itself and even considered a Backpack with wheels. But again, since I'll always have the Carry On with me, no need for more wheels! The size is not 'Small' like for a kid. It seems just right, not too huge, but just right. Price was ridiculously low in my opinion for what you get. ... show more

Overall I am very happy with this bag. Purchased this backpack in early 2019 as a cheap bag to get me through the rest of the school year after I had a strap fail on my previous school backpack. Over the years I have used it for school, travel, work, gym, etc into 2023. I probably used the bag on about 50% of the days in the past 4 years, so it saw about 2 years of cumulative use. The bottom of the laptop pocket was wearing out significantly (several abrasion holes in outer fabric, lining fabric was still intact) so I just purchased a new one. For the price ($24 on sale for the bag I just purchased), I think this is a great backpack. I've never had any issues with items inside the bag getting wet, or with zippers failing. Four years of reliable use is a longer than what I expected for a backpack at this price point. The laptop pocket has some padding but it is not much. I put my laptop in a sleeve for extra protection, and then put it into the laptop pocket. In the backpack I just purchased there are a few small design changes from the 2019 version. The front-most pocket is smaller, the zipper pulls and logo are different, some of the stitching is slightly different, and the key-holder is on a slightly shorter ribbon. This has so many pockets and dividers that it’s perfect to carry my work laptop, my iPad, my notebook as well as my case for all the cords for all the things. Besides all that, I still have a few other things in there and even though that sounds like a lot of stuff, it’s not a mess in there at all because of all the dividers! I transitioned into this from a shoulder bag that never really quite fit all my stuff, plus the shoulder strap would come off my shoulder, which was annoying since my arms/hands were inevitably also carrying more stuff when that happened - this bag is comfortable and feels fairly ergonomic. I don’t have to wear it for long as I typically just go from my car to my workplace and back, but even so, it’s comfy for that brief time. I’m very pleased with this bag. ... show more

Got this to have something high-visibility on my back for my 1.5 miles of walking on my in-office work days. It has lots of pockets and I feel like it does a good job of padding my work laptop. It’s not as comfortable as my hiking packs, but I paid a lot more for those. I’m not wild about the rigidness of the shape—when you set it down, it doesn’t relax at all. But there are lots of places to stash things and the construction may relax over time. I haven’t tried the USB port because I didn’t care about that feature. However, one nice thing I noticed about the port design is that it points downward and has a bit of a cap, so it seems designed to shed water well. That being said, none of the zippers are watertight, even though the material is water resistant. I’ve been keeping my laptop in a waterproof sleeve and my clothes in dry bags within the backpack because I don’t trust it. Not a huge deal for this price, IMO. Overall, it’s a good commuter pack for my business-professional office. I’m able to carry a change of clothes and shoes for my work day and also my lunch, laptop and office supplies.
