This is the Best digital scale! It's great having a good size bowl that measures very accurately and the light on the screen is a very easy to read. The numbers on the screen are bright blue and a great size to read. The bowl is quite easy to detach from base and it can be used for many things. I find it important to wipe down the bottom base so it keeps it from being sticky. That will also keep the latch from sticking when removing the bowl and as well as keeping the screen clean. I also dry this bowl rather than letting it air dry. As far as the battery life, I think it depends on how much you use the scale. Like anything else, batteries need changing after a while. However, I find the batteries last quite a good amount of time and I use the scale a few times a day. I've had a few of these scales over several years and after sometime, they broke down. But that took a long time and several uses for that to happen. I'm doing things a bit differently with this scale, such as wiping down the base more frequently and trying not to drop this one!!! :o)) I think the scale has been improved over the years. Even though the base stopped working, I still use the bowls for so many other things! They really come in handy! This scale is a bit pricey, but so worth it! The black scale is a bit more expensive than than the green one, but I keep mine on the counter and I wanted the black color. Looks great! I highly recommend this scale!

Great addition to my kitchen. Love that it displays in cups and in ounces and pounds. I haven't had to change the battery yet (I've had it for a year already) I use it every week. Inexpensive and accurate. Great kitchen scale. Fits in the cupboard nicely.

I've used the digital scale/bowl to mix bread dough a couple of times since I received it. Before I used it for the first time, I tested its accuracy by weighing 150g of water using my old scale, then poured the water into the Fradel. The weights matched perfectly. I did have a problem with the little latch which holds the bowl to the scale when I first took it out of the box. It popped off the handle, and it took me awhile to figure out how to snap it back on. However, it's been working fine ever since. Several reviews have mentioned that the scale shuts off too quickly, but I weigh multiple ingredients into the bowl to make my dough, and I need to zero out (tare) the scale between adding each ingredient anyway, so this is not a problem for me. I proof my dough in the bowl, using the milliliter marks on the inside to monitor how much it has risen. So far, so good!

I have looked at these for a while and finally decided to pull the trigger. We buy many items in bulk and break them out into smaller packages. Then we put them in vacuum bag and seal. In the past I have used a scale with a bowl and zero it out. This is so much easier. It is also great for baking. It is very easy to use we love using it.

My mother-in-law and I both loved using this digital kitchen scale for our baking. It’s easy to use, accurate, and great value for the price. I bought my first one at TJMaxx and used it for a long time until it got accidentally damaged when my mum washed it in the kitchen sink. Because we liked it so much, I ordered a second one from Amazon. Unfortunately, it stopped working in less than two months, which was disappointing. I’m not sure if it was a one-off defect, but I really hope the quality can be more consistent—it’s a great scale when it works!
