Always seem to come back to FFOF. Excellent right out of the bag but you can also add amendments to it such as worm castings,biochar,etc for even better growth. Would recommend for the first time groet because it's fairly idiot proof. If growing cannabis you might want to use some type of fertilizer organic or otherwise after about the 3rd week in flower as this mix will not sustain it all the way through. I bought this soil based on reviews and videos I watched on YouTube. I heard it was a powerful blend, but wasn't expecting my seeds to pop just 24 hours after I planted them (directly into the soil) I'm seeing rapid growth of my plants and am excited to see the outcome. I will be using it again! UPDATE: This soil is making my plants very happy. I'm doing a PPM test on the h20 run off and I'm getting crazy high readings (like 2800) but the plants are loving it. The plants are eating up the nutrients fast and at week 5 the ppm of the run off has dropped to around 900. The plants are loving it. ... show more

I have been using this soil for years. This bag of soil is not as "fine" as in the past years. It has more grit and a mulchy, type appearance. We shall see if my plants like it as much as they used to, if not, I will probably switch brands.

This soil is the best! I’ve always heard good things about this soil. I’ve always seen it at the top 3 of lists of best soils all over the internet. The price of course is what was making me hesitant to purchase. I decided to just buy it so that i could say I tried it and it wasn’t for me. I will never not use this soil! My plants went from dull slow growing to this beautiful shade of green and all have grown about 1 or 2 leaves already, in December! I’ve heard that this is “hot” soil which means it will burn young plants and seeds. I haven’t used it to germinate seeds but the young plants have really liked it no burning of the roots. I will recommend one thing tho, which is perlite. Lots and lots of perlite, if you think you mixed in enough add a bit more. Lol The price is totally worth it ... show more
