The lack of a controller with a cnc means that you have to dedicate a computer to being connected and run jobs. This poses some challenges if the computer likes to go to sleep or has issues which usually means you need to devote more expensive resources for a very simple task. I do a lot of repetitive cuts on my CNC machine with the same settings and this made my life a lot easier. No more need to connect my laptop to the CNC. Just plug in the Controller, insert my SD Card and select the file I want to cut and press SEND! Its literally that easy.     • Better than the online software
The internet based software is glitchy sometimes (catastrophicALLY THROW THE piece away, WHY!? kinda glitchy).

    • Good controller, needs to be rebooted if files change
The controller works well, my main issue is that if you remove the SD card from the controller and put it back in, it won't read the files until you reboot the machine or unplug/replug the offline controller. This means that your zero will be lost and you will need to re-home the controller. If you do frequent edits to gcode to get a part running, this can be extremely annoying. EDIT: It turns out that the controller will save your home when you re-boot it to read the SD card, which is a plus. NOTE: If this is plugged in then USB connection might be extremely unreliable to the point of occasionally sending the CNC completely off path.
