I like how this looks overall. Not your typical design, so I love that it is more like a unique, modern piece of furniture. The wood stain is beautiful. The height is perfect for our two cats to look out the window, soak up the sun’s rays, or enjoy a breeze when the window is open. The only reason for 4 stars is because the scratching posts quickly unravel and shred as shown in the photo. Our cats enjoy scratching! But it will be easy enough to wrap with new rope. This is a nice looking cat bed or perch so we will happily fix the scratching posts from time to time (a lot more frequently than we did for other cat perches). I recommend this for anyone looking for something unique and beautiful for their fur babies. Our big boy cat has learned how to get to the top but it did pose a challenge for him at first and was comical to watch. You might have to put something near this to help your cat get to the top if you have a large and not-so-nimble cat like we do. ... show more

This cat tower is a really looking nice piece of furniture. That's the good news. The bad news is none of my cats will go near it. None of them have any interest in climbing, scratching, or laying on it. We put them on it, they immediately jump off and go elsewhere. However, I'm still giving this 4 stars because it's very nice looking, easy to assemble and it's not the thing's fault that my cats don't like it. There's no reason that I can see that a cat would have a problem with it. The cushions on it are a little thin, but that's an easy fix by stuffing them more or putting nice towel on top. Maybe it has a smell that I can't detect that is putting them off. I might try to put some cat nip on it and see if that helps. Leave it to my crazies to not accept anything but the ugly carpet covered towers. I'm keeping it in the hopes that they will discover it someday and decide to like it. Til then I'll use it as a bookshelf. ... show more

First of all, the simple to follow directions are printed on a 12x16 form! Good sign from the start. Extremely well made with solid materials. No unusual smell whatsoever. Super soft pads. Cats enjoy the middle level to look out the window. Wish there was some ramp between the second level and the third. Bit too high for them to jump up from the ground floor. Fairly sturdy for our two cats (about 11 pounds, and 15 pounds).

...but the cats can't get all the way to the top from the floor! There's no way to get from the middle shelf to the top. Not a problem for younger cats, I suppose, but my cats are older and can't jump that high anymore. Fortunately I could place it next to my bed so if they want on the top shelf they can jump on my bed and then to the top shelf. ... show more

I have two "medium hair" cats. They're both big, fluffy cats with a whole lotta hair and even more body length! Their old cat tree was great when they were kittens, but they are now two years-old and 13 pounds each. A bigger cat tree was needed, and this thing is basically a California King for cats! It's just as pictured. It arrived quickly and was easy to put together. I love the look. I gave it 4 stars because my 3 cats haven't used it much. 2 of them have used the very bottom shelf and the other one hasn't gone on it at all. Hopefully with time they will all learn to love it.
