This is really the best book I own on painting now. Lea Wight's paintings are amazing and she is able to articulate what she is thinking about during her process really well. The section on how she approaches color is worth the price of the book itself. The text complements all the images well and I've picked up lots and lots of great tips. Also, the paintings are just fun to look at. Wight's brush handling and color choices are just really impressive. She brings it all together and that's rare. I open the book and just want to paint! This is the best book on painting I have read. Lea Colie Wight is a superb painter and an excellent writer. Her approach to painting is logical and flexible while leaving room for personal expression and exploration. This book includes many beautiful images of her work.
