I will admit,i was not expecting much from this product. To begin with, Amazon said that the delivery would be between Oct. 13th and 19th and I would not be available from Oct. 10th-13th. BTW, this was not a Prime product and I would have to pay for delivery. To my surprise, a $10 coupon was available which paid for the shipping. I ordered this Oct. 4th and FedEx delivered this today Oct 7th. Assembly. In short it was quite easy with adequate instructions. (If you plan to get this bookcase. FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS EXACTLY. I assembled this by myself in about an hour. I had all the parts needed. The only difficulty was in the anti-tipping screwing into the top shelf. I contacted the seller about the shipping and they gave me accurate info. FedEx did the same as well. I have a lot of books in the bookcase and so far it handled it quite well worth the $84.78 (tax included) I paid. Sturdy and enough shelves! Can't ask for more! ... show more

    • Shoe storage just stepped up a notch

I got this one along with another that's narrower to fit a specific spot in my basement. I'm using it to hold shoes and so far it seems to be doing the job. It can be a bit awkward putting it together. I do appreciate they included an extra of most parts like screws in case one gets lost. The other one I got which appears to be the same company had feet for the bottom, but this did not. I haven't noticed a real height difference between the two but it's still annoying it didn't have feet included when the other did. ... show more

There were three reviews by other buyers that concerned me when I bought this, and all three turned out to be baseless. The first reviewer said that the bookcase was in steady when loaded with books. Well, there is hardware included to anchor it to the wall, and even then the instructions suggest you put heavier books on the bottom. The second reviewer said that there was hardware missing and the reviewer had to drill their own holes because they were not predrilled. I found that there was plenty of hardware, and some to spare if you lost a dowel or screw along the way. Finally, the third reviewer said that they got black on their hands while building the bookcase and I was worried it would blacken my books. This did not turn out to be true either. ... show more

I bought one first to try it, but now I'm buying another. I have an art studio with other white storage furniture, and had just enough depth for this on the wall behind my door. I originally planned to put up floating shelves for art supplies, but they practically cost this much per shelf plus are a lot more work. I just needed something to store books, office and art supplies. When it comes it's shocking that it's going to feel sturdy. The pieces are thin, the end panels are in half. But it goes together easily and is sturdy and the white finish was flawless. Even the stickers came off easily. The only thing not great is that they made no attempt to hide the screws on the outside, so you get plastic dots to stick over them. For something decent and functional, that doesn't feel like it's going to chip and scratch easily, it's a good piece. ... show more

This product is an excellent value. I have many hardcover books of WEB Griffin, Clive Cussler and Jack Reacher and was running out of shelf space. I ordered a cubic bookshelf that was very flimsy from Amazon. I returned it. Looking again I found this bookcase. It was easy to put together. It is very strong and the backs of the case our individual pieces the slide in the back of each shelf. Also provided were two anchors to mount the top to the wall. This arrangement works very well with our carpeted floor. I found the over all construction a lot better the the two Sauder bookcase I have which each cost twice the cost of this bookcase. I put this bookshelf together myself in less than an hour. Directions were easy to follow and the bookshelf itself is sturdy. It is exactly the look I was going for to start my trophy shelf collection. Highly recommend this bookshelf!

Its a good size, very sturdy, looks good, and I love it. But a lot of the instructions were unclear due to there only being pictures, no actual words. And lots of the "panels" didn't have any numbers or anything so I had to restart part of the shelf half way through because the numbers hadn't corresponded. (there were no numbers.) Other than that, it's a really good shelf, only took a couple of hours. Defenitly recommended for the price. ... show more
