Absolutely beautiful bookshelves that are very sturdy and extremely easy to build. One of the best features of these bookshelves is that the backs are individual pieces instead of the long solid cardboard piece of most bookshelves. These are slid into slits instead of hammered in.

The book shelves are great, and assembly was overall OK - removed a star because the tool to install the hardware (an Allen wrench with a Phillips head fitting on the long side) made the assembly much more difficult than it needed to be, especially in the tight corners of the shelves. These honestly are pretty great. They are decent quality and went together very easily. Took me maybe 40 minutes for each shelf to put together by myself, and once together are very sturdy. They are a little smaller than I thought (make sure you read the size listed) as I assumed they were going to be closer in size to my ikea billy bookcase. They are lightweight but not flimsy, and you can easily move them with one person when empty. Please note that they DO NOT have adjustable shelves, but the shelf height is perfect for all of my books, and my taller ones, and should fit a variety of items besides books. I love how the back paneling slides into the structure as you build it versus being nailed on like most build shelves. The anchor that comes with it is not one I've ever seen before, so maybe buy your own anchor, as well as it only came with one anchor per shelf instead of two. But it came with everything you need to put it together and with extra screws just in case, and I love how fhey look. Overall great buy for my small apartment 😌 ... show more

    • Never forget the second rule

When I was a child my father told me to remember two things. One, was that I was a man and that came with certain obligations to those around me. Two, was never bi flimsy furniture. The first one definitely guided me through most of my adult life, making sure I was doing the best I could to be the best I could for the loved ones in my life. The second one however, didn't come up that often. Until I bought these bookshelves that is. These bookshelves were for my daughters collectible display. I had no doubt that the shelves would be able to hold everything, but my daughter absolutely loves the space it offers and how it looks. She thinks the color is perfect, and even brags to her friends about the shelves her father purchased. Assembly was easy. It took maybe 30 minutes? She says 2 hours but there's no way that's right. She certainly enjoys the wall anchors that prevent it from wobbling like other self-assembly shelves. It also has corner supports, that keep it rigid as well. This was a great purchase, we've certainly bought more shelves like this because of the value. ... show more
