So first off - a few things about me from this review perspective. If you know what the PPI Art series was, the Clarion APA G series that were shared McIntosh stuff - you know that I've had some pretty good equipment back in the day. I worked for a major car audio manufacturer, and sound has always mattered to me. Most of my vehicles have had aftermarket systems and home audio wise every TV in the house has a hard wired surround sound setup with a sub - sound matters. Fast forward to today. It's harder and hard to integrate with OEM systems, and everything is expensive, hyped whether it's good or bad, and we went from the days of your amps taking your entire trunk to this little guy fitting in the palm of your hand. I've installed two of these new in my 2021 Rav4 Prime. I added JBL 3-way components and I'm tri-amping them using the Fosi amps, with a DSP handling cross over and time delay duties. Space and power were factors for me - the Prime has a DC-DC inverter and no one can give a solid answer on how many amps you can pull from it before trouble. Couple in the compact subwoofer amp I have and I can't just be throwing 200amp fused amps in here. The goal was good clean loud sound - and the Fosi nailed it. It replaced some compact Clarion amps (the new stuff just isn't it) and sounds 100x better. Size wise it's incredible, these things feel like little bricks in your hand weight wise - they were easy to install and come with everything you need. I've got my two hiding out under my spare tire out of sight - their compact size allowing that to happen. Over all they sound great, are not over heating in the low air space hidden trunk compartment, and are delivering plenty of power to my tri-amp setup. The quality of both the build and sound is amazing - I'm not sure that you can beat this little amp for the price. I highly recommend it - especially for the price.

What can I say... This little amp does great. Replaced a mini amp from another brand in my custom setup for work. It's powering two sets of 6.5 speakers and two woofers. Kicker Components/DS18 pro audio/Dayton Audio Woofers. Each chamber with 9" Passive Radiator. I plan on adding two more woofers to have all channels at 2 ohms and little more bass. Complimenting the built in clip light, it does come on a slightly early before my scope shows any soft clipping, this is at 40/100/1kHz. Great for tuning none the less. From my previous amp to this, it is night and day difference. The clarity is superior and the adjustable filters work great. I do plan on switching my Super tweets amp in my vehicle to this in the very near future!

It is awesome! Amp cross over is set to FULL. You must set the gain. Thus you must know how to use the amps clip light. This amp will appear to be very quiet without the gain at at least 50%. I have mine set to 70% to 75%. I'm using high level inputs. It generates very little heat. It fit in empty dash space behind the oem radio. 2012 F150 SYNC no amp. With the gain turned up so high, the amp did initially produce a slight sound above 17khz when no music was being played. After running the amp for a few hours, the sound went away. It is now dead quit. Huge value for money. The installation really wasn't that bad. The high level or low level inputs give huge compatibility.

I got in the car audio probably around 1986, nothing crazy, aftermarket radio, upgraded door speakers and 6x9s. The early '90s I did my first full system, spent a little bit of money on it. This is my first time ever listening to a full range class d amplifier, I have only ever had class a b for mids and highs. The amplifier this replaced was an nvx NBA 401 which puts out about 130 watts per 4 channels, and is a large class a/b amplifier. After installing the Fosi ca30, The sound quality is so well I would not have known I changed amplifiers. Not that the NVX is a high-end sound quality amp, it does put out good sound. The amp is extremely small, I don't know how they get all the components in there. You have 4 gauge inputs for power and ground, and 12 for the speakers and the remote. And since it's a four channel, there is no bass knob. It does have a clip light for the outgoing signal, makes it really easy to adjust your gains. It does have internal fusing, 2 30 amps fuses, and does come with a replacement set in the box. You do have to remove about 14 screws to get inside though. But from what I found out through all the years, if everything's tuned correctly, it's very rare to blow a fuse unless the amplifier gets too hot or you short it somehow. One thing you can do if you do not like where the power or the speakers come out at, you can disassemble the amp, slide the board out, turn it 180°, and slide it back in. All the screws line up perfectly. You will have to deal with the thermal paste, do not wipe that off when you put it back together. The highs are crisp and clean, there's no unwanted sounds coming from the amplifier as far as engine whine or any of that, and there is barely an audible hiss if you have your volume knob all the way up with nothing playing, very clean sounding. If you are looking for a good sounding amplifier at a decent price that is quite small, I can easily recommend this. Very very impressed.

In my vehicle, I'm pushing a pair of Alpine S2 4" and S2 6.5" component sets. The inputs are RCAs from Dayton DSP408s wired from the stock system's high powered outputs. I used two other amps before giving this one a try, a Rainbow Audio Iron AP1200-SE (which was terrible) and the Recoil DI550.4 which had MUCH More power, but was lacking in features and had noise and hiss issues. PROS: 1) Clean, clear sound with specs to match! Rare to find this clarity at this price point! If that is your goal, and power isn't your #1, these are quite the contender. 2) Size is amazing. It was smaller than the previous amp I was using that had a little more power, but lacked clarity and had a high noise floor. 3) Features for this size are also all I could hope for. 4) Generates very little heat and I'm using it in a tight, non-ventilated space 5) At high volume, I've yet to clip it CONS: Power output (if it even gets to the advertised power) is lacking. I'm sending it 3.5-4V to the RCA inputs, and I have the gains maxed on the amp. It isn't uncommon for me to use a standard listening volume of 50% on the head unit for normal listening. I'm more about clarity than SPL so I've made peace with it. INDIFFERENT: Have not tried bridging the amp. My speakers are all 4 Ohm so no experience with 2 ohm.

Audio cuts in and out randomly, especially at normal/high volume. Amp powers on, but output is not consistent and sometimes only comes back after restarting the car. I verified all wiring and tested multiple input methods. Nothing fixed it. Switched it with a cheap power acoustic amp from walmart and worked perfect. This points to poor signal handling or internal reliability problems. Would not recommend if you want consistent audio. QC sticker must mean it powers on 🤣

For the money and the size, this thing shattered my expectations. I've been a car audio installer/enthusiast for a looong time. Started in high school and that was ~40 years ago. I've found that once you have a system with good mids and highs, and in particular, bass, it's hard to go back to stock, no matter how good stock has gotten since then. I watched some bench-testing YouTube videos on this type of Class D amp (small and inexpensive) before landing on the Fosi, and based on fairly solid results from the Pros, I HAD to give it a try. Fosi isn't exactly known for car audio, but has a good reputation otherwise. I am running Polk 5.25 components up front (separate mids/tweets), 4-inch 2-ways in back, and a 10-inch Infinity Kappa Perfect for my sub. I run the front two channels of the Fosi to my components, crossed over at 50Hz with a gradual cutoff slope, run the 4-inch off of crossed-over head unit power (rear out), and the sub running off of the rear two Fosi channels in mono. I did NOT expect this kind of consistent power or sound quality for $120 (on sale). I've always been a late 90's MTX Thunder series kinda guy (or Fosgate DSM) because they're rock-solid, stable and small-ish—or at least, they're low-profile. I even still have a Thunder 4320 that I was going to use in my system. But for the love of Pete, this tiny Fosi amp has big performance and has surpassed all of my expectations. I even have it installed in the not-so-ideal location of the storage well on my T100 (older Toyota truck). I'm in the midwest and it gets HOT in there during the summer. So far, this little amp hasn't skipped a beat. From rumbling lows to the powerful kick of low-mid kick drums, my sealed Kappa Perfect is LOVING the power coming from this amp, as are my components. As others have noted, I have had to crank up the amp's gain higher than I'd expect, but Fosi has addressed this, saying it's best to use as much of the head unit's output voltage as possible to keep the audio clean. And that does track. I've matched the output gain of my amp to the head unit so that when I max my Kenwood's volume (35), I'm as high as I'll ever want to be, volume-wise. I did choose a head unit with at least 4 volt preamp output. Not sure what it would be like with only 2 volts, so that might be a bit limiting. I think this is important enough to call out, and wish Fosi would make some kind of PSA around it. Ideally, I'd like to have 6v pre-out, but 4 suits my needs just fine. It's easy to fill a smallish extended truck cab with sound. FWIW, I only ran 8 gauge power (instead of 4) direct (fused) to my battery's + terminal. My ground is also only 8 gauge. "only" :) The only thing left is the longevity test. I've only been running it a couple months so far. If anything goes sideways, I'll update my review.

Power output leaves more to be desired. I bought this amp based on all of the reviews praising this amplifier. To my surprise, this amp just doesnt cut it. The reason that im giving it two starts instead of one is because its form factor is good. The amp is tiny - you can stick it almost anywhere without issues. Also, I do like how the terminals screws are angled. Depending on how and where you install this amp, that will come in handy if its in a very tight space. Now for its con. Im no stranger car audio or to fosi products. They offer good bang for buck devices that get the job done without breaking the bank. I saw various popular YouTube influencers praise this amp so I said to myself that this must be really good if everyone is raving about it with all the amp dynos and measurements. The amp this was replacing is a skar m400.4m, so very similar in specs and size. This skar amp was ran in bridge mode to power two jl 6w3v3 front subs and fed a dsp signal from my helix dsp. The skar amp MOVED those little subs with about a third of the gain applied and crossovers set to 50-150hz. According to Skar's website, that amp is rated at 270w x 2 @ 4ohms. Now onto the fosi. Their website claims 320w x 2 @ 4ohms when bridged, so a 50w bump over the skar which was the entire reason for the "upgrade" as im swapping out the 6.5 JLs to the 8w3v3s or 8" versions. This is where its underwhelming. Without changing any of the settings on my dsp, this amp barely moved the 6.5s. I confirmed that the built in crossovers on the amp were turned off and inspected the gain - it was also about a third of the way turned up. Giving it a little more gain barely made an improvement. Even with the gain maxed out and the gain on my dsp pumped out to +6db, there was hardly any improvement. Now I would never run the gains maxed out or apply this much dsp gain but this confirmed the capabilities of the Fosi amp. What a let down. I really had high hopes for this amp and wanted it to win, but its not all that it's cracked up to be. As a professional audio tuner, there are MUCH better options out there at a similar price point, power output, and size.
