When the hat arrived, it was crumpled up in a plastic mail order bag. I tried to get it to stand up but it was hopeless. I took a coat hanger and made a circle for the top, and cut poster board to fit around the sides. Now it stands up and looks like a high dollar hat! The fabric is velvet and colors are really nice. I have a 7 5/8 head and it fit great... It stretches a fair amount, but definitely designed for a dude with a decent sized melon. Construction was fine and I think it will hold up well over time. It could be a little stiffer to help it stand up better when you move your head around a bit quick. I didn't have any problems with it falling over or off, but it was because I was conscious of turning my head a little slower and standing up a little straighter. I don't think anybody would notice you were moving a differently than normal, but I was conscious of it. 4/5 because it actually was a little better than I was expecting, but could be stiffer. ... show more
