These are pretty cool setups I was purchasing this one to replace another one come to find out it wasn't the heater that was bad it was a restriction in my waterline to the heater now that I fixed that it works very well it keeps pretty good track of a consistent temperature it does fluctuate a little bit probably 3 or four degrees of variation you can feel it but it's not extreme it works off of a couple of D cell batteries so there's no wiring and the settings are fairly easy to set comes with pretty much zero instructions but it is very easy and labeled well for all I would say this is a pretty damn cool setup mine is installed on my 2010 camper and works very well but my camper also is stationary I'm not sure exactly how you would go about putting it into a regular camper for travel because of the way that the chimney works and the fact that it needs to be mounted vertical but overall it's awesome we have two teenage girls that have to take 45 minute hot showers every morning so it works very well for that also thought since I have an extra one of these of setting it up to fill my hot tub with hot water because at home I have a standard hot water heater and it runs out after 50 gallons and I need 300 plus I haven't set it up to do that yet but I think that's going to be what I'm doing with the old one that didn't have anything wrong with it that I replaced the old one was three years old and worked well just the water flow would cause it to turn off and on and off and on because I had inadequate flow

Got this to replace an old outdoor heater. Unit looked brand new and was will packaged. Since I already had one before set up was easy and ask i had to do was switch over the water connection. Used the supplied gas regulator, new propane tank that was purged for air, purged the gas line as well, then hooked up the shower head. New batteries were also used. When it was go time turned on the water to get the air out of the water line. Turned on the gas put both dials on max per the instructions. Got a good spark but that was it. Never got it to ignite. Screen activated when hitting the power button and it tried so hard to light but to no avail. No contact info for seller, others said they never heard back from them. Just processed the refund and looking for another brand. Not recommended for the reason that a brand new unit didn't work. But if you manage to get a good one it's worth the price. I personally passed on getting a second unit. I'll try my luck elsewhere.

Have used 5 times in the last week with no problems. Use a small pump w short garden home pieces to pull from a 6 person hottub, run thru this heater and back into the htub. Supplement heats the water MUCH faster than the malfunctioning/stock htub heater (4-5F per 15 minutes). As an earlier reviewer noted, the in and out fittings are male 1/2" BSP fitting (look like 3/4" hose fitting but won't thread onto a normal garden hose). When I ordered this heater, I also ordered 2, 1/2" BSP female to 1/2" male NPT adapters AND 2, 1/2" female NPT to 3/4" female GHT adapters. A 1/2" F BSP to 3/4" F GHT adapter would have been best but I couldn't find such an animal on Amazon. Was able to hook everything up in less than 30 minutes and as noted earlier, it is working great.

I mount this outside my travel trailer to replace broken expensive 6gallon water heater. It works well most of the time. Sometimes it doesn't ignite or turns off during operation. Temperature control must be set at unit, if cold water is added at shower it turns unit off and water gets cold. With that said, the temperature controls are really touchy and you can't get 70-80 degree water on a warm day it is like 90+ or a cold shower. Works great in colder weather. Overall I am happy with this unit, it makes hot water and uses little propane. For $110.00 it is a great appliance,would buy again. I have been using this for about 10 months now and it still works like the day I bought it. Hopefully it makes it through the winter. These units usually break from water freezing inside drained or not. So install drain valves and hope for the best.

I used this for a few years to speed heat my inflatable hot tub. It takes a 6 person hot tub(280 gallons) from 62 degrees to 103 degrees in about 1.5 hours. Propane is cheaper than electricity in my area and it takes $2-3 in propane to heat my hot tub 40 degrees. Then I maintain heat with electric water heater. After 3 years out in the exposed weather the paint is starting to peel. The tiny filter in the water line input needs to be cleaned or checked often as a clogged filter reduces pressure at the flow detector(which needs 5 psi to activate the burner) and prevents the unit from firing. This 18L propane heater is great though. If using as a camp shower just be careful of how hot it can get with low flow and high heat settings.
