I wanted to install my TV on the inside wall of my entertainment armoire and needed a wall mount that would do the trick. The FORGING MOUNT No Stud TV Wall Mount securely holds my TV on the thin surface of the rear wall of my armoire and that is all I had hoped for. The brackets are sturdy and heavyweight enough to hold larger TVs than mine (a 40” flat screen smart tv) and comes with a variety of mounting hardware to meet every possible mounting situation. What I didn’t like is that there are two separate brackets instead of one. That meant careful measuring to ensure they are mounted evenly and made installation more difficult than was necessary. Other studless TV mounts come as one bracket so that once leveled, is also even vertically and horizontally.

I got this FORGING MOUNT no-stud TV wall mount because I wanted an option that could work on drywall without having to hunt for studs or deal with a more complicated installation. Overall, it is a convenient mount if you want a clean, low-profile look and your setup fits the requirements. The biggest thing I like is the simple design. It sits close to the wall, so the TV does not stick out much, and that gives the room a cleaner look. The height adjustment is also helpful because getting the TV at the right viewing level can make a big difference once it is mounted. This mount is made for a wide range of TVs and monitors, but I would still double-check your TV size, weight, and VESA pattern before installing. Just because it says 26 to 100 inches does not mean every TV in that range will be the right fit. Weight and mounting pattern matter. Because this is a no-stud drywall mount, installation needs to be done carefully. I would not rush it. Read the directions, use the hardware exactly as intended, and make sure the wall surface is appropriate. Even though it says no drilling or stud finder required, I would still take my time and make sure everything feels secure before hanging the TV. I waited so long to mount these brackets because I wasn’t convinced nails would possibly hold when I normally use giant metal self screwing anchors that would hold an elephant, because that’s how little I trust these walls. I finally watched enough videos and read enough reviews to catch enough faith that these were expertly designed this way for a reason. Installing these with the template to mark the vesa and place the brackets was pretty easy. Adding the hooks onto the tv was also easy. Less easy is holding up the television by myself whilst aligning the hooks. I’m super short which isn’t helpful, but I don’t want to try this up on my stool, so I wait for assistance. I already know now that these brackets are going to stay put. I briefly hung from them and they’d didn’t even wiggle. Now I’m more worried about the hooks on the television staying put. I’m a worry wort. Great quality mounting hardware though!
