It's actually perfect for what I was looking for. It's perfect for my dogs own large Bella bowls (I ordered a large size rack). I also like that not only can you adjust the legs for height but also the feet are adjustable for adjusting the height. And I got a great deal on it because I bought it used even though it was still all sealed in the sealed package when I got it. And it's made of metal so it's very durable. I'm very satisfied with how well the items were packed. All of the hardware was included and was simple to assemble. It came undamaged and the bowls are huge. Which is great because I can set a lot of water for two cats. It's clearly designed for small and medium dogs, as the description states. I set it on the lowest level, which is perfect for my adult cat, but, too high for my kitten. Which is fine because I previously ordered a small bowl stand that's perfect for the little one. I haven't had this bowl stand very long. It's a tad wobbly but sturdy enough not to be tipped over or moved out of place.

My 16 year old beagle mix is getting wobbly and weak and was stumbling all over himself trying to eat so I got this to bring his food closer to his face. It did that. He is now cleaning his bowl where before I was trying to figure out why he would hardly ever go to his food and was losing so much weight. Turns out just having to bend so low was causing him enough pain that he didn't bother eating. He's about 18" from his paw to the top of his front shoulder to give you an idea and medium size was enough to get it right about snout level. Didn't have any trouble putting it together, although it did take a bit of common sense to get the pieces to line up when you are screwing them together which is where I think a lot of these other reviewers probably failed. Welding burs and whatnot are a thing. Get a hammer, smack it, it'll go. To me this is an annoyance but a minor one. The legs might be a bit fiddly, but move the pieces back and forth bit or like I said, give it a tap or two with a hammer to break any welding burs away and they'll line up. You get what you pay for usually. This thing is cheap but aside from a few apparent manufacturing inconsistencies it is otherwise great for the price. Plenty sturdy. The gripper pads on the feet work very well, this thing doesn't move or skate across the floor while the dog's eating like his old bowl did.

I found this and liked that it could be set at three different heights. The second level is perfect for my dog's meals and water. It will not tip unless you try very hard. The plastic pieces it came with were useless. I assume they were to keep the bowls from making noise while the dog was eating or drinking. They fell off and went down the drain when I washed it the first time, at least the ones which would stay on did. It made noise when my dog ate eagerly and she jumped about six inches into the air. I had to find my own way to stop the noise. Otherwise, I love this.

It took forever to assemble as the one leg would not go into the other segment of the stand. Not sure what the problem was but just out of kilter. Something was way off thus preventing the fourth leg going in and inserting the screw. Thought about returning but not sure the replacement would fit any better, I literally had to put it on the floor and force the fourth leg to go in and tap it with a hammer to get it all the way down to get the screw in. Luckily, the height is correct for my dog, and do not think I could take it apart if I tried. He will live with the height it is as my fingers got sore while attempting to tighten the screw knobs, and had to use a pair of pliers to loosen the knob when the holes did not line up. BE PREPARED for the legs NOT to slide in.

My small Cairn Terrier loves his new feeder because it's raised to his level. There are 3 levels; I have it set on the third level which is the highest. Bowels are stainless steel and easy to clean. Sticker grippers are provided to place beneath each leg to prevent sliding while eating - it works. I am more than satisfied with this purchase - a long time coming. The product is well made to last a lifetime, and worth the price. An L shaped tool is included to tighten the screws. While I'm here, my dog and I are still happy with the large crate on wheels purchased a couple years ago. Around 10:00pm he waits for me to say 'ready for bed' then he runs into his crate and plays with his toys. (No it's not cruel - it prevents him from jumping on the bed and leaving his hair all over.) He's free during the day. He treats it like a private space. Best investment made.
