The FOREO Bear 2 is new, so there’s not a lot reviews on it yet but there are a lot of reviews for the first FOREO Bear and that combined with my research of all the home microcurrent devices available, it was the only logical choice. *Important point: out of all the home microcurrent devices available, including NuFace, the FOREO Bear 2 is currently the strongest, most effective device on the market and the only one with an Anti-Shock system resulting in painless and visible results.* So let me just save you valuable time, get the FOREO Bear 2. I’m not gonna bore you with my hours of research and technical terms. First, you’ll need to download the app; it’s free and controls all the advanced settings. Also, you MUST use a conductive gel, any conductive gel; it doesn’t have to be FOREO but without a conductive gel it’s useless. I use pure colloidal silver gel because it meets the requirements of being oil-free and silver is highly conductive so it’s very effective with microcurrent devices but Amazon sells bottles of facial conductive gel at affordable prices as well. For the first use, I did half of my face first to see the immediate results. I’m only 26 and let me just say it looked like the treated side of my face had a facelift. I was shocked. So I did the other side and voilá, my face was perfectly contoured, plump and lifted! To see long-term results you do need to use it daily which I do, but even that instant result is worth the hype and price tag. Now luckily I have a fairly defined face already, but this took it to another level. And the best part: results are noticeable to you and others. I rarely encounter products that are so effective so I’m gonna go ahead and say it’s definitely worth the splurge! One caveat though; from research I read if someone has too much fat over the muscles on their face, the long-term results will still come through, but immediate results may not be as noticeable since the device works by sculpting the muscles underneath to create definition and muscle memory. ... show more

    • SEVERAL SHOCKS DURING EVERY USE

What anti-shock technology? I get shocked several times during every 5 minute use. I use water based gel and clean my skin with a non-oily cleanser, as they suggest. AND STILL I GET SHOCKED!! Also, it does not turn off until the 5 minutes are up. I can't turn it off when I press the button. AND, it does not say in the description here, but you have to register it, which is not a problem, but you also have to pay either $5 or $10 a month in order to continue to get updates etc. A TOTAL RIPOFF THAT WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE TEXT HERE ON AMAZON. I did not start using my device until after the 30 day return period had passed, so I can't send it back for a refund. Otherwise I would. I don't like getting shocked. I will try to deal with their customer service people, but, I assumed I would not be getting shocked when they advertise their 'anti shock technology' which appears to be a lie. On the bright side, I think it does work. To me my skin looks better than it did and I've only been using it for less than a week. But, the SHOCKS!! Like a surprise ZAP and it hurts!!! I also use the Solawave, which I highly recommend. it's a different technology, red led light and etc., but with the Solawave there are no shocks. ... show more

I kept buying and returning on Amazon because Amazon kept fluctuating the price. Overall, I think I like it. I had a nuface before that just stopped operating. I like that this goes high in intensity. I don’t like the app. I also bought the face scrubber thing too. I get they’re trying to make money off of subscriptions but it’s stupid. So you have to pay to experience another feature. Just lame. Seems like we can’t own anything anymore. Everything’s on lease. That’s irritating. So taking off two stars.
