Written by a dad! Pros - Impressed with the battery life. It goes longer than I thought it would. Maybe 30 mins? - It's fast and agile. Lots of fun. - My family loves it - My wife and I take turns controlling it and playing tag with the other person. The kids think it's hysterical. Cons - first one was a bit defective, but the company handled the issue well so I'm giving the stars right back - The wheels don't actually spin at the same speed, so driving on a perfectly even floor will still result in the car veering to the side - Arrived damaged. The tires are made of a hard, cheap rubber that does not provide very good traction indoors (works ok on carpet, but just does burn outs on hardwood/linoleum). Has that cheap, Chinese plastic smell to it. Also, the remote does not recognize pressure sensitivity on the joysticks, they simply work as on/off switches for the wheels. Couple this with the poor traction, and you really can’t control the thing with any degree of precision. It’s just best for making lots of donuts or for thrashing around. However, with all those things said, my kids love this toy. The construction is of a pretty good quality so it is durable, and seems that it will survive at least a few weeks of abuse. The battery also lasts a good long while… not sure how many charges we’ll get out of it, but I doubt that it’s novelty will last long enough for that to be an issue. All in all, I would say this is a good toy for little kids, age 3 to 7 or something like that. Once they get older they’ll probably want something more sophisticated. I would probably buy it again just because it is so affordable.

We bought 3 of these because after getting the first one we saw how much fun they are and the quality is great. My 2 year old grandchild plays with one of them and can use the controls with no problem. I highly recommend these for a child or a child at heart. They are so much fun and all three of ours can be played with at the same time. They don't interfere with each other. The battery life is great on them also.

If you’re having problems with pigeons always in your backyard and are tired of having to get up to chase them away, this works great. We leave the car on the patio (except during the heat) and control it from the house. Works great!

(Last Update) - I've tried to write this update 3 times and it isn't posting. I adore the new toy and am amazed at this company's customer care! 10/10 recommend the Storm Rider! (UPDATE) - The company reached out to me to resolve this problem, after I had written the review. They refunded me the money and are sending another toy to replace it as well! I truly appreciate this phenomenal customer service and all of their kind help with this matter. Definitely increasing the rating from 3 to 4 stars and will add more to this review after the new toy comes :) Thank you so much for appreciating your customers! (ORIGINAL REVIEW) - This toy was so much fun at first and my son misses it. However we got a 2nd to replace the first one and they both broke within a month. The first one fell off the couch and stopped working and the second started making a super weird noise then stopped charging. Also the charging ports they give you are super exposed and weird. Overall it was super fun until it wasn't.
