Because of the left side edge, (the back of where the screen splits). This phone is so vurnerable to so much damage. With only one fall, mines was intensly damage with otter box cover, since it did not protect the the outside. It would also not glue well to the phone since their covers are to thin. Samnsung cases were the same. This case is thick. Protect every corner or the phone and it even brings a screen protector included. I was an otter box defender to die for before this phone. But for this specific phone. This cover is much better than the other two bigger brands. My phone is destroyed thanks to samsung ones. Higly recommended for this type of phone. ... show more

Kickstand, hinge S-pen holder, built-in screen protector? Seems to be a bit of a challenge so far to combine these features in a case. I've tried several cases, each of which have been a letdown in someway or another. I didn't have high hopes with this case, but I'm liking it so far. Fit: case itself doesn't feel overly loose or tight. S-pen slot is a little on the loose side such that I can hear the pen rattling inside. The front cover does slide off when unfolding the phone without holding the front face. To fix this, I removed the silicone (?) strips on Samsung's Standing Cover with Pen case (included with pre-order) and applied them onto this case. The silicone strips adds a layer of friction which has stopped the case from sliding off. S-pen hinge: front face did not include any adhesive strips, only magnets. These magnets attach to magnets on the hinge which automatically closes the hinge cover when the phone is folded. The magnets do not cause dead spots when using the S-pen. Screen protector: I'm guessing it's glass? Feels different than the typical plastic screen protector. I like the smoother feel but it smudges as you'd expect from glass. Kickstand: 3 positions, 2 of which are useable when phone is unfolded. It locks into each position with loud clicks. Don't use it in bed while your wife is sleeping. It doesn't function properly in portrait orientation, folded or unfolded. Kickstand is a bit short and being closer to the power button edge makes it less steady on uneven surfaces. It's serviceable but definitely not the best kickstand I've tried. The UB Pro style kickstand is a much more solid and balanced design. Aesthetics and feel: looks more business-like rather than tank-like (unlike the UB Pro/knockoffs) which looks great, IMO. It feels matte smooth but not overly slippery. There's a small strip that runs vertically on the back of the case where the hinge bends that has a more tacky leathery feel. I wish more of that was on the case such as on the edges where you grip the phone. 1 star removed for the pen rattle, screen smudging, loud kickstand clicks, and less steady kickstand. Despite some tradeoffs, this is the best case I've tried so far. Hopefully it remains durable. Update: 8 months later... I've dropped it a couple times (I actually make an effort not to drop it, unlike previous candybar phones) and it's survived fine. Nothing has broken yet. Other than being unable to use the kickstand on uneven surfaces or in portrait mode, I really don't have any other complaints. I see that there are kickstands now that are built into hinge pen holders (with pen cutout) which allows for portrait use. I'm a huge fan of the understated looks of this case though, enough that I'll just continue using this until something breaks. ... show more

I got this case after I tried a different one for my Fold 4. That case was slightly more bulky and the front cover didn't stay on well when opening and closing. Decided to get this case since I had a similar one I loved on my Fold 3. Well it's just like that case but even better built. The kickstand and hinge are much more sturdy on this case and the front stays on easily when opening and closing without any adhesive. The front has a screen protector now that's really solid and clear doesn't interfere with touch sensitivity. I also know this case can protect from some drops since the one that was similar on my Fold 3 survived about 4 drops from 5ft with no damage. Overall really good case if you want a slim case with hinge protection and a kickstand price is really nice compared to others as well. ... show more

    • Wanted to love this case.........but

I was excited to give this case a shot for my new Z Fold 4. This was case #4 for me, as I'm trying to find the "one" for me. Now, I read the reviews before ordering and saw quite a few that mentioned the front cover not staying on, and I decided to give it a try anyway. When the case arrived, I got even more excited because this green color is exactly what I had hoped the phone would be originally, and the hinge cover portion is only about a third of the thickness of the other cases that I've tried so far. The back cover, with the hinge cover attached, installed on the phone without issue, and I was immediately way more satisfied with the slimmer hinge cover. As I removed the protective film from the front covers screen protector, I noticed that something was missing that had been on every other case that I tried......no double-sided tape at all to help hold the front cover on. I thought "that's strange", but continued with installing it onto the phone. Once I had the front cover in place, it slid right back off. I tried putting it back on several times, and each time the front cover either slid right back off, or it would slide off right as I began opening the phone into tablet mode. So, what's keeping this front cover, with integrated screen protection, from staying on the phone? It seems as though the colored frame was designed to fit the front of the phone perfectly by itself, and then the screen protector was added after final fitment of the frame had been approved for production. And this ain't the same flimsy screen protector that we have been accustomed to. It's thick......like, Mil spec protection thick. This in turn has led to the very small overhangs on the frame to actually sit against the edges of the phone, instead of "snapping" all the way around it and securing the front cover in place. Now, I remembered reading about removing the screen protector from the frame, and chances are that doing so would allow the outter colored frame to finally "snap" into place, but as I attempted to do so, it felt like the frame would give out before the adhesive holding the screen protector in did. I mean, it only needs to be able to sit 0.5mm (yes, I measured that with a digital caliper) closer to the phone's screen. I'll probably try heating the adhesive up a little tomorrow with the hopes that the adhesive will soften enough to remove the screen protector. ... show more

Ive had the case about 3 days and ill say im impressed. It slides open & closed seamlessly. The kickstand in the back is a nice touch and im especially a fan of the framing around the camera lenses. It's elevated just enough to protect them and low enough to never get in the way of the camera either. Finally, the s-pen holder is also helpful to me when holding the phone fully open. The grip is case isn't textured. It does feel soft to the touch on the back. I do not have a wireless charger to test that feature but I don't see any overt reason why it wouldn't work. Overall, I'm happy with this purchase. Though I haven't dropped it yet (thank God) if feel fairly confident that my phone will be ok. Quality- 10/10 ... show more

I BOUGHT THIS CASE TO PROTECT MY NEW Z FOLD 4 AND WHEN I GOT IT I HAD IT FOR ABOUT A DAY AND I ACCIDENTLY DROPPED MY PHONE AND WHEN THE PHONE HIT THE FLOOR THE FRONT SCREEN HARD CASE JUST CAME RIGHT OUT THUS SCRATCHING MY PHONE ON THE FLOOR, THE BACK CASE DID HOWEVER STAY PUT BUT THE FRONT CASE JUST CAME RIGHT OUT DUE TO THE VIBRATION OF HITTING THE FLOOR , IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A CASE THAT WILL PROTECT YOUR ENTIRE PHONE THEN THIS ONE IS NOT THE ONE .
