Fit great. As others point out, you may need to do some drilling on the holes or, as I did, bolt on two aluminum flats on the sides to get more width for mounting. If you can't do that, you probably shouldn't be installing your own radiator anyway. Otherwise, this thing is well made, extremely light, and performs very well. Fit in my 1979 CJ5 perfectly. I am very satisfied with the purchase.

Works/cools good in the hot weather we've been having not giving it 5 stars cause I couldn't use the existing fan shroud and engine fan the thicker rad core interfered with the fit would have been nice to know in advance. I had to mount an electric fan and remove the engine fan and shroud. All said and done it is an improvement over the stock radiator. If I had to do it again I'd tape card board over the front and back to prevent damage to the fins on the radiator from brushing against things. I'd buy it again,

This was a direct bolt in for my 83 cj7 with the 258. The neck on the bottom comes up at a 45 where as the original radiator in my Jeep came out straight, no big deal I went to Napa to get a hose that would fit and installed it in my Jeep. Good value for the money.

It’s well built sturdy piece of metal. But the slots didn’t line up and I had to modify the flanges to get it bolted in. Not that big a deal but I essentially had to install it twice...

I have had it in my 85 JEEP CJ7 for a few months, and it works great, I installed electric fans and my jeep is always a 170-180, I couldn't be happier. It is shorter than the original fan, but I bought some sheetmetal at Lowe's, and it fit good.

Leaked at seams within 2 days and had a total failure on the 3rd day after installation. Was not a direct fit and needed to be modified and new brackets created..not a big deal but did not hold up at all...

I have done several upgrades on a 76 cj 7. This radiator is by far the best upgrade so far. I would recommend as a first upgrade over ignition system or what have you. Temp reached 220 on a regular basis with old radiator. With this aluminum radiator, I hover around 180 now regardless of traffic conditions or outside temp. If you live in an area that uses mag chloride on the roads, you will want to rinse the radiator off with a low pressure hose after storms. Mag chloride will eat right through aluminum.
