    • Complete OLED screen replacement kit
OLED screen was shipped in a hard box containing everything needed to open up the iPhone X and replace the factory display panel. Kit included replacement adhesive gasket plus an adhesive screen protector. Can't comment on the durability (resistance to fracturing) of the display relative to the OEM display, but no issues with fit or finish. Installation was straightforward for anyone with small electronics repair experience. The iPhone X is a five year old phone: this is a cheap alternative to a factory replacement that is a good 80% match for the factory part. It is not on par with the OEM part, but given the cost, as well as the age of the phones these are being installed on, not an unreasonable trade off. The color temperature is cooler than OEM (slight blue tint) Display has a barely perceivable section near the notch that is slightly lighter than the rest of the display, only visible when the display is off, Display can show slight ghosting under certain circumstances (slight ghosts from bright icons on the home page may show up temporarily on light gray fields) There is a slight discoloration (slight reddish tint) on the upper right side of the panel, only visible on light gray fields (noticeable if using the "light mode" display option) Sounds like a list of deficiencies, but again, given the cost of the kit (under $60) for a 5 year old phone, it's still preferable to a shattered display, bright lines that show up on OLED panels when damaged, or paying about $300 for an Apple Store service on a phone that can currently be bought refurbished for under $300. ... show more

    • I was able to replace the screen myself! Perfect!
I didn’t want to replace my phone, even the same old model I have costs $300 second hand! It had a black blob on a corner that was growing by the day, I was planning on keeping the phone until the blob would not let me operate the screen, but then it fell in the pool. Screen got all green then stripey, then black, phone still worked as I could call and it would ring, so the screen only seemed to be the problem. I ordered this product, followed a video on YouTube and was able to have a perfectly functional phone 30’ after installing the new screen. You do need a steady hand and be very delicate. Follow instructions and back it up with a helpful video online (there are dozens out there). Use the magnetic photo to place the screws right where they belong. The quality of the screen is really good, pretty bright and to be honest I don’t see any difference from the original. You definitely need to find a video on how to replace your screen. The screwdriver quality are not the best, as of matter of fact I ordered another set because one of the screwdriver wasn’t the size they said it was and it was a bit bent. ... show more

    • Really Good Quality Replacement
This is a really nice replacement. Came with the tools you need, and it has a new gasket to make sure your phone will have the same waterproof factor as it originally did. I followed the instructions on the iFixIt site, rather than the instructions this came with (that actually look like they used the iFixIt guide as a source). There's a lot more detail on the website and user comments to read with things to look out for. If you haven't opened up a phone before, this is not super easy. You have to be very patient and very careful following the instructions to make sure you don't damage any delicate ribbon cables. Most of the screws are REALLY tiny. That was one of the most challenging things, dealing with those tiny screws. That and getting the new gasket lined up correctly. Just take your time. It took me almost 2 hours to carefully take my son's iPhone apart and then put it all back together. But it looks like a new phone again! ... show more

    • Close to OEM quality picture… but
Fit and finish and screen quality was excellent.. but the major issue is that the frame becomes unglued from the display and thus causes the screen to stop working. I had this happen 3 times, once on the first unit purchased, then on the warranty replacement sent, then again on the 3rd replacement. I just went with a different brand and company after that, but dealing with the warranty was good and replacements were sent quickly, however quality of build needs to be better. ... show more

First screen was broken. After getting replacement I realized that things had been missing the branding was different on the replacement. The first one must have been a return. There are no seals on the packaging, so it wouldn’t be hard to just switch out the screen and return the broken one. Got the replacement and it is dim. Usable, but not OEM quality or as good as the $80 screen that I had. ... show more

My son's phone now being on his THIRD replacement screen, I may have some merit to provide a fair comparison of replacement screens for the iPhone X. This replacement screen, like others, shares in having just an ever so slightly different (smaller) display area. It isn't something you may notice on its own (if not comparing side by side to another phone). The color production on this screen is the best of any replacement I have installed on his phone. The tools supplied worked well. This was the first replacement I have seen that was supplied with actual printed instructions (not that I needed them considering this is a process I have become too familiar with). The Magnetic screw keeper was a novel idea, but ineffective magnetically. A screen protector was included (nice surprise). ... show more
