The warming aspect was great especially With difference temperature Settings. The rollup and store design was unique and very useful. Be sure to visually look at the size and make sure it fits on your table. For my needs. It was too big.

Even on the highest setting, it doesn't heat up enough to warm food, or even keep it at a safe temperature, if placed on it hot.

Prior to getting this Silicone electric heating tray I used a restaurant electric serving tray that had a comparable surface area but was much heavier and larger. It had to store it in the garage since it took up so much space. I'm pleased that this new silicone heating pad takes up much less space and I can keep it rolled up under the kitchen island counter ready to use. It is also more convenient to use as I no longer have to remove the food from the pots to put into chafing dishes. It is much easier to simply leave the food in the pot and place the entire pot on the silicone heating pad. The pad heated up very fast. Within a minute the pad was noticeably hot. The touch pad controls for the pad are along the edge on the surface of the mat. That is where you'll find the on/off switch and three temperature controls. Use the 140-degree setting to simply keep cooked food warm. The 166-degree setting is what you would want for leftovers to make sure micro-organisms are killed to ensure that the leftovers are safe to eat. I probably wouldn't use the third setting, but you can even boil water at the 212-degree setting. The heating elements in the pad are elevated off the counter by dozens of little silicon feet under the mat to protect the counter or table surface. When you are done with the mat, just roll it up, use the supplied Velcro cord to secure it, and place it in the included fabric storage bag. I think I'll donate my restaurant serving equipment to charity now that I have this.

I love to make chocolate covered treats and when I came across this product I thought it would be perfect for this purpose. I usually melt my chocolates in the microwave and use a pot with hot water to keep the melted consistency. This product is absolutely perfect for keeping my chocolates melted and easy to maneuver. It does not overheat it or harden it. This makes my job easier and allows me to be more effective when I am making my treats. It is also lightweight but sturdy and easy to use.
