I ordered the SNUXOVO Food Scale, 33 lb Digital Kitchen Scale from Amazon, and it shipped to me quickly. Thanks, Amazon, for helping me with my scale-related needs. Completely unrelated to the kitchen scale—or maybe somewhat related, depending on how you look at it—I play quite a bit of pickleball. Part of playing pickleball and tuning my paddle involves weighing it on a scale. I’ve actually been using our kitchen scale for this purpose for quite some time now, and my wife honestly hates it. Apparently, she doesn’t enjoy sweaty, dirty paddle grips touching the same scale we use to measure flour for pizza dough. Lol. So when I saw this kitchen scale that supports up to 33 pounds, I quickly ordered it. My wife was relieved. My pickleball paddles were relieved. Honestly, everybody won here. Opening the box revealed exactly what was advertised. The scale itself looks clean, modern, and well built. One thing worth mentioning, though, is that the product photos make it appear as if batteries are included with the scale. I’m here to tell you they are not. However, before you grab your pitchfork, there’s actually good news: this scale charges via USB-C and has a built-in rechargeable battery. That’s honestly a huge plus in my opinion. Nearly everything in my house already uses USB-C at this point anyway. I’m just not going to tell my wife that I bought another rechargeable gadget. Functionally, the scale works exactly as advertised and offers the same features and measurements as many of the other kitchen scales on the market today. Accuracy seems spot on, and it performs just as well as the two other scales currently living in my kitchen. Whether I’m weighing pizza dough ingredients or making microscopic pickleball paddle adjustments that probably don’t improve my game nearly as much as I think they do, this scale handles it perfectly. The display is bright, easy to read, and responsive. The buttons are straightforward, and the unit switching is simple. No complicated setup, no weird quirks, and no moments where I had to stare at the manual like I was decoding ancient hieroglyphics. Price-wise, you could probably find something cheaper out there, but I’ve always believed you get what you pay for. In this case, you’re getting a solid, rechargeable USB-C kitchen scale with good build quality and reliable performance for only a little more than the cost of basic battery-powered alternatives. For me, the value is absolutely there. As for durability, the kitchen scale I currently own has somehow survived around 15 years of daily use, countless baking sessions, and now apparently pickleball equipment testing. I expect this one to hold up just as well, even if it ends up serving a very different purpose than originally intended. Honestly, this scale may see more pickleball paddles than actual food, and I’m okay with that. Lol. Would I recommend this to others? Absolutely, without hesitation. Whether you need a reliable kitchen scale for cooking, baking, meal prep, or secretly tuning sports equipment while your spouse rolls their eyes in the background, this scale gets the job done. This is definitely a win in my book.

While I have a scale already, it definitely fell short on a few levels so a new one was in order. Now normally, I prefer the bulkier postal scales for weighing out my oils for soap making, this one has a 33 lb capacity so it was enough to do the job as I max out at a 25lb batch anyway. Operation is pretty straightforward an on/off button, a unit mode button and a tare button. Immediately, I checked for accuracy with my 50g weight. Spot on accurate. Added an item I know to be 8.27 g and it registered 8g – This scale does not measure fractions of a gram so this was expected but better than my current scale that measures by 2g minimum so that is a plus. What really prompted me to try this scale out is the annoying feature of my current scale where, if I am measuring something and pause too long, the scale goes into a hold mode of sorts where it will not register a few more grams – it just freezes the weighing unless you add a significant amount more – not exactly a great feature if you are trying to do precision weighing with something like lye beads. This scale does not have that flaw so I can tell already that I won’t be cursing at this scale for the same issue. While I love that it is rechargeable with a C-cable (I have a lot of those and am happy to see that this is becoming the standard – it also has batteries (2 AAA) AND has a low voltage indicator mode when it needs recharging or new batteries. So with this scale, you have options. The scale also shuts off after 3 minutes to save on batteries/charge which is more than enough time if I have to quickly fumble for another bottle to continue the weighing of an ingredient. Instructions are simple yet thorough as this doesn’t have too many bells and whistles to deal with. The stainless steel platform is a great feature as I work a lot with caustics and essential oil which can damage the finish - actually, any liquid spilled on a scale - or at least on my old scale, can seep into the buttons and damage the scale over time. This one is a flat sealed surface and is waterproof so cleaning the scale after a spill is simple. Size-wise, this is a pretty compact scale. Not too small and reasonable in size for the kitchen...but I would really prefer a larger platform as the size is pretty limiting (6.25"wide x 7.25" deep) Now for other soap makers who are considering this scale, it does have some drawbacks as the platform to set your vessel on is flush with the display – it is not raised like larger postal scales AND while it measures in lb & oz, there is not a setting for just oz. It does have a mode for fluid oz which confuses me as there is no way to determine that from a scale since it does not know what kind of liquid I am measuring and what its density is so I do not trust that setting. I will simply just use the gram setting since with large batch soap making, it is a bit more accurate anyway. I am also unsure if it is safe to place a pot off a hot stove onto the scale since it is so compact and I will not be testing that out but for just the hot oils pot, I’ll continue to use my less desirable scale and keep this one for cool items. For improvements to this scale or a special soap-maker's scale, in case the manufacturers read this (ya never know, right?) I'd love to see a larger platform - maybe 10 inches x10 inches, a setting for just lbs and one for just oz, not fluid oz, and make it heat-proof. I’ll keep using this scale and see how well it fares over time but so far so good. Price-wise, seems reasonable enough to me

This food scale was a great find. I don't make a ton of recipes that call for super accurate measuring, but I am already surprised at how often this scale has come in handy since I got it. It's so nice for portioning out single servings of things like pasta before I cook it, or really any meat or produce. The scale is basic in terms of its functions, but also very precise up to 0.05 ounces or 1 gram, which is a nice feature to have that was absent from my last kitchen scale. It's got a simple control panel with an on/off button, the tare feature, and unit measurement selection. The measurement area lights up; it's a blue LCD display and it's bold and easy to read. This came fully working and ready to go, but it also arrives with a couple of batteries if you need to run it on battery power. We won't likely be using the batteries as this is so easy to charge via USB, plus we are trying to avoid disposable batteries altogether or at least as much as possible in our household. It's still nice to have them as a back up option though. I also love that it's waterproof (not that I'm going to immerse it in liquid or anything and I still try to keep it dry, but it's nice that I don't have to worry if I accidentally have a spill). The stainless steel looks really sharp and this is attractive enough to just leave on my kitchen counter if I want to, and that's coming from someone who is really picky about what gets left out on the counter. It's also surprisingly easy to keep clean and wipe down after use.

Weight Loss” which is rather comical since it won’t make you lose weight and you can’t use it like a bathroom scale unless you are a very small child weighing less than 33 pounds (the maximum weight limit of this scale). So, if you are thinking of using this like a bathroom scale for weighing yourself, don’t buy it, it will break if you stand on it! I have a set of calibrated weights I used to check the accuracy of this scale and the results were within the +/- 1 gram accuracy specification using various combinations of 50-gram, 100-gram, and 500-gram calibration weights. See my photos. I also placed the three 500-gram test weights in different locations – in the middle and all three to one side – and got the same readings so placement of the object to be weighed isn’t critical for an accurate measurement. There is a calibration procedure if you need to calibrate the scale but I don’t have the heavier test weights for that procedure. Display is easy to read and it comes with two AAA battery cells. For a $25 scale this is a great value and I highly recommend it.

This scale has been fantastic for meal prep and tracking portions. As someone who likes tracking portions and meal prep, this scale has been a great addition to the kitchen. The accuracy has been spot on, the different measurement options make it easy to switch between units, and the buttons are quick and responsive without any lag. I also like the compact size and stainless steel material, which gives it a clean look and makes it easy to wipe down after use. I actually used it while helping my nephew bake his first batch of cookies, and having precise measurements made the whole thing a lot easier and more fun.
