I recently bought two empty food grade 55 gal. barrels as my earthquake water supplies. (They were nearly new; used once to ship food grade glycerine to a vape shop.) So I hooked up my new pump last night and now my water supply is ready for emergencies. One or two strokes and the water was flowing freely. There is a red cap on top to break the vacuum if you want to stop the flow. Documentation is clearly written and accurate. Pump seems to be designed well. I don't intend to leave this pump out in the weather, since it is mostly plastic. It does not seem to be the best material for a strong UV environment...the sun bakes it and makes it brittle...especially RED plastic, which this is. It comes in a bag, which I kept and plan to store it in until needed for earthquake water pumping. DISCLAIMER: I expect to receive a second TERAPUMP free, just for writing a review. However, the above 4 star rating is what I would have given it, regardless. I don't "LOVE" it to the 5-star level, but it was simple to use and it does work well and I think it was a good value for the money. To earn five stars I think it would probably need to be super durable one with a dust cover that snapped on keep it clean and shielded from UV rays.

This pump fits perfectly with my barrel and pumping the water out was very easy. I am satisfied with the outcome. This isn't something I need to used daily, but rather once every year or two. So it being plastic seems appropriate.

Great product and easy to install and use. The hose that the water comes out of is very long making it easy to direct the water. Each pump produces a good bit of water.

Simple, easy to use, and it works great. We use this for SHTF situations to pump water from our 55 gallon water drums. Living in southern Louisiana, we are used to hurricanes and tend to prepare. This pump is perfect as it only needs "person power" to operate. No electricity or batteries. PERFECT!

A long time ago I bought a looked like this one but a lot smaller, materials are much thinner and cheaper. However it got broken a few years use out of it. I was very much hesitant to get the same look and much expensive. But I couldn’t find anything I like. So I go with higher ratings. Surprisingly this product is much sturdier and bigger. I finally got to use and it works well.
