I actually brought these for painting the wall, a few spots needed touch up where your regular home depot paint brush are way too big. These hold a sharp edge for touching up the trims like ceiling edges. easy to clean afterward with warm water. I did not have any problem with bristle falling out.

    • good longevity
I mostly paint on wood and cement, so my brushes take a beating. These last longer than others I've used. I can use them for quite awhile before the ends start to fray up or get the small wisps on the sides. They also clean up well. Good quality brushes for a reasonable price.

These are great brushes! I used them to paint my metal chair legs with gold leaf and also to paint my nursery walls. Between these and my meant for the wall brushes, these worked better. I should mention we did a Mural that required a lot of detail work.

I don’t write reviews very often, but I had to warn other artists not to waist their money on these! These are AWFUL!! I purchased 3 sets of these and every pack was the same. The bristles just fall out, making you have to keep picking them out of whatever you’re painting. If you just touch them they fall out in clumps. They also push down inside the neck while your painting. I tried clamping the metal neck closed more with pliers, but it didn’t help. One of the packs I couldn’t even use because it was a USED set! I thought it was odd when the package didn’t seem sealed right and there was some sort of tape or piece of plastic inside with the brushes. When I pulled one out to use, the bristles were covered in some type of glue and were hard. Then I noticed there was black paint on the other side! All of them were like that. I’m very disappointed with these! I don’t understand why they have such great reviews?!? ... show more

    • Decent for the price point
As long as you have a crimping tool or pliers with a rounded opening near the joint, these are great. The brush has a nasty habit of plopping off at inconvenient moments, but the metal is soft enough that a supervised toddler is strong enough to redo the crimp. If you don't like reassembling your brushes, get better quality. If you'll pull a back muscle to pick up a stray penny, this is the set for you - and me, lol ... show more

    • If you like bristles in your painting then....
All the hairs came out of the first brush I used. Never seen anything like this. It looks like I shaved an animal near my painting. Totally ruined. Buy brushes in person where you can test the bristles before you buy. If this was in an art store no one would ever buy such a terrible brush. (Only medium brush used because I don’t want to ruin anything else with shedding issues) ... show more

I had previously bought the traditional large round paint brushes for pre-schoolers, which my granddaughter seemed to like. Then we made a birdhouse & used my flat wide acrylic brushes to paint it. She loved my brushes. I was delighted to see how easy they were for her to use. Since she can be a bit aggressive 🤣 when painting, I bought 2 sets of these for her. She has so much fun using them with her non-toxic water based paints. She has discovered the variety of effects she can create by using the various edges/angles of flat brushes. I highly recommend this little set for little hands of your creative young ones. Oh, yes, super easy to clean. We have had no problem with strands falling out. Great value ... show more

    • They're good brushes, not the best
These brushes were a bit difficult to clean and they felt a little cheaply made. I used them to paint my shoes and I should've used different and thicker brushes. I see these brushes good for beginners but not as much if you need more control.
