These are definitely easier to assemble with a partner but you can do it alone (takes about 20-25 minutes if you're not trying to go fast). All the pieces fit fine. The HDPE material has a slight pattern or "grain". I suppose this simulates wood. It also prevents any plastic-looking shine. These have a matte dull finish that I like. I find them comfortable with a little more erect sitting posture than a typical Adirondack. I was looking for that. The seats are well built and don't sag even with 250+ of body weight. They seem sturdy but the "bolts" or screws used to assemble just screw directly into the HDPE material. There are no embedded threaded inserts like some HDPE furniture uses. For the price, these look to be outstanding. I'll see if they hold up well to Michigan summers and winters and hopefully provide an update. All my other HDPE outdoor furniture (once lightly power washed) looks brand new even after years of outdoor use. I'm optimistic these will be the same.

This Adirondack chair comes disassembled in a heavy thin box that includes two large pieces, a few smaller ones, a bag with hardware, and a 4-page instruction booklet with inventory and diagrams that are pretty easy to follow. The recommendation is for two or more people to put it together, which made it easier since the chair is bulky and you have to hold a nut while you screw a number of the connections. The chair looks good when assembled, which was straight-forward, but I suggest you ditch the supplied tools for your own. Being a synthetic wood, sort of like Trex decking material, it should stand up to the elements well. The only downside is that the angle of the seat is not as deep as a good Adirondack chair should be, so you don't sink into it nearly as much. So, not as comfortable as I would like. It's not uncomfortable by any means, but it could be better.

This is a really sturdy, durable adirondack style chair. It’s not as good as the much more expensive polywood chair but it’s close enough - especially given the price. I purchased 4 and all arrived in good condition with all parts and screws.

Great affordable chair! Easy to assemble. Looks and feels great! Comes with an allen wrench and was able to assemble a chair in about 10 min. Comes with stainless steel screws. All of the screw holes lined up perfectly.

I have a question. Who decided that stiff, straight-backed chairs are comfortable? I have back problems and am much more comfortable when sitting in a chair with lumbar support. The material from which this chair is constructed is very comfortable but the straight back isn’t particularly comfortable IMO. This chair also sits VERY low so getting in and out is a challenge some times. Another thing is that the chair weighs a TON. This composite material is VERY heavy. It’s great for windy decks and such. It’s not going to blow around, but moving it, even taking into consideration that it folds up, is almost a two person job. So bottom line, the material is comfortable to sit on but the chair is very heavy making it hard to move, and the straight back is uncomfortable for me. If you like Adirondack chairs and don’t mind one that sits 6-8 inches off the ground, this chair is fine. It’s not a great choice for me.

I got this chair a few days ago and decided to set it up today. It was extremely heavy and I needed to slowly wiggle it to my back door. Opening the package was difficult, because heavy staples held it together. I finally opened one end and then carefully jiggled the chair out of the box. Well, I shouldn't say chair...I should say multiple chair pieces. It also came with a large bag of screws and nuts for assembly. I wasn't too happy about this and was more disappointed when I read the instructions. It stated you needed two or more people to assemble the chair. Wow, two or more? The seller site said easy assembly and based on what I got--loads of different pieces and lots of screws, the seller site was entirely wrong. Because it's only me here, I am now going to have to get family over to help me put it together. The chair is heavy, the pieces look well made, but having so much to assemble was really awful. I realize shipping something this heavy costs quite a bit and do understand the need to ship in pieces to make it fit in a smaller box. I just don't think the seller thought about how to have less pieces and still be able to ship in the same box. It seems to me that many of those pieces could have been pre-assembled so that someone like me would have a better shot at finishing the installation. Now, I have to wait until family can come over and help. Disappointing assembly for a chair that is probably pretty nice when it's assembled completely.

The main reason I got this chair was for the foldable aspect. It indeed folds up easily for storage or transport. Perfect for throwing in the back of the truck for camping trips. Material is some sort of synthetic wood. Feels sturdy enough. Sits square and doesn't wobble. I deducted a star because it definitely is lacking in comfort, has a strait back. Much better with cushions, though.
