  • A great compact solar panel
Size: 50W
Great price on sale. I bought this to recharge my CPAP backup battery when I go dry camping. It works great and its light weight

  • Good quality, hard to align with sun
Size: 120W
Well Built, but not 100% I got this 120W foldable Solar panel to be paired w/ my Bluetti EB3A portable battery bank. Overall this solar panel is well built and is very portable. They have some Pro’s / Con’s. here are my Observations after using them a few times while camping. Portability – These fold down into about a 1sq/ft footprint and slide into a zippered bag. The adapter cables roll up and fit into the front pouch of that bag. Power output – While connected to the Blutti, I was not able to get anywhere near the listed 120W. this was partially due to input capacity of the Bluetti. The DC input was limited to 12-28V 8.5A. since the Panels output 12V, the max input could only be 102W (12v x 8.5A = 102W). The panels are not very good at converting non-direct sunlight. At around 0900hrs in the morning, when I leave the panels flat on the ground, they had an Output of 0W. The only way for them to get any output is for them to be almost perpendicular to the sun. For a rigid panel that’s pretty easy, for this panel, it was a bit more tricky. I ended up having to clip it to the side of my tent. When it was facing the sun, I was only about to get the output to around 65W. Connections – the 120W version of this solar panel comes with 2 x MC4 connections (1 pos / 1 neg) the kit also comes w/ an adapter cable that converts it to any of the following connections (XT60, Anderson, 8mm Barrel (DC7909) and 5.5mm Barrel (DC5521) the Bluetti EB3A needed an 8mm (DC7909) connection. Weather resistance – the face of the panels are covered in a textured surface that feels kind of rubberized. This appears to be waterproof. The back of the panels are a hard fabric-like material. The electrical connections between the arrays are sandwiched inside the folds. The output “Box” looks pretty water resistant. The MC4 connections are by their nature water resistant since they have O-rings to keep water out. Overall – I think these are a really nice solar panel that outputs a decent amount of power for its size. The form factor is a bit awkward. When completely open its pretty big. Its not something that I would take hiking due to size / weight. It more appropriately sized for car based camping. But if doing that, I think rigid panels would be easier to setup and manipulate during the day to get high output. ... show more

  • Wow, great portable solar panel
Size: 100W
Just got this and I’m very impressed. Well made, compact and at 4 pm in New England was putting out 4.8 amp charge into a 20ah battery. I can’t wait for the next sunny day to try it at noon.

  • Does what it says!
Size: 50W
2024/03/29 Update I've now got both the 50W and the 28W versions of this panel, and their performance is jaw dropping. It genuinely feels like a new generation of solar cell compared to my other panels. For the 50W panel: Look at the pics! That little tiny panel is sending 45W to my Anker C1000 at 1PM in Ontario, Canada, in the winter (March 29). It's up against a house under an awning, meaning half the ambient light from the sky is blocked. Madness! 45W is some real, usable power. Run that thing for 6 hours on a sunny day and you'll have captured enough energy to run a phone for a month, power a QRP radio station for a week, or, say, boil 3 liters of water. All from a panel that weighs practically nothing and disappears into a backpack. For the 28W panel: Heavy overcast for this test. The panel is making 9.3W into a power bank right now as verified by a power display cable and a power meter. The sun is only barely visible through the clouds. For comparison my much larger 3-year-old 60W panel is making about the same at nearly 3x the size and weight. Charged my 10,000mAh power bank in a little over 3 hours in these conditions. The next day I tried again. Partly cloudy; charged between 10W and 18W, shifting back and forth seamlessly. With the sun visible, positioning of the panel didn't matter; it always sent out 18W. I'm confident you could drop this thing flat on a picnic table on a sunny day and reliably charge at 18W for at least 6 hours. Probably 8-10 hours if you're willing to prop it up with some rocks/logs. ---- Original review (28W): I bought the smallest panel (nameplate rating 28W) for my bugout bag, intending it to directly charge my devices. At just over 1lb, it's hardly noticeable, and I don't have to worry about keeping a power bank charged. Build quality is the finest of any portable panel I've ever owned, and I've owned more than a dozen. Absolutely top notch materials. The performance is excellent. It supplied the full 18W (USB-C) to both a small power bank and my phone in Canada on a hazy March day, and disconnected/reconnected gracefully as clouds moved overhead. During a heavy overcast period it supplied 7-8W, and after the clouds parted it instantly jumped right back up to 18W. I do wish it could supply 15V to directly charge my small laptop, but that's not really what I bought it for, and I knew this going in. If you're planning to charge a phone or power bank, don't hesitate. 5 solid stars. ... show more
