This is a really well-designed basket as baskets go. It's very large when unfolded. BUT the folding part is the coolest thing about this basket. It's really strong. It is really large. No parts that can rust or corrode. And when you fold it up to store it - it fits into a bag that is tiny by contrast to the basket when unfolded.

I don't know if I misread the description or what but I thought it was going to come with a long rope. I live in an area where we often go fishing off a very high bridge that has been closed to traffic for some time (they built a new bridge for traffic) Catching a fish and wheeling it up the 75 feet or so it feels often snaps the line before you can get the fish halfway up. Got this to kind of assist in bringing fish up to the skyway. I'm a bit disappointed there's no rope. But I like the rest of the set up. There's a bait bag, and a storage bag. I'm pretty happy with the setup just glad I realized prior taking it out the first time I needed to bring rope with me.

This is a great bit of kit for catching fish! I wanted this to go down to my local lake and catch some fish to put in my pond at home. I am not experienced at catching fish but I often see them swimming all around my local dock and with a license I am allowed to catch some to take home for my two large ponds. It is bigger than I expected but I feel like this kit is going to give me a great head start in trying to catch some, I like how it folds flat so when I drop it in the water it will fold down and the fish will swim right over and I can quickly raise it. That is the hope anyway! It comes with a long section of rope too, incase you need the extra length. The fact that there is a holding net that I can also use (in case I'm not that good at fishing!) so if I only catch one or two at a time they won't die, is a great addition! Everything folds up into a little backpack for travel and storage, which I appreciate.

I bought this net because throwing a cast net is difficult. I used it 2-3 times and I am super disappointed. If there is ANY boat movement, tides or current, this net just goes wherever, it never gets to the bottom. I tried weights, which got it to the bottom, but then you have to lift this weighted net back up to the boat, which defeats the purpose of replacing a cast net. So we got the net to settle with weights, but when you chum over top of this net the tide and/or wind carries the chum away from the net. Not good. I gave this to a neighbor. It's useless as far as I am concerned.
