I volunteer at a wildlife rescue and rehab organization. I wanted a sturdy, collapsible animal carrier that I could keep it the back of my SUV, which I could open out when needed and which was big enough and study enough for a pelican or osprey. It meets all the requirements that I had and does the job. It is heavier than I expected and assembly takes a little more time, but the tradeoff is greater strength. It gives me a sense of comfort to know that I don't have to worry about an eagle or raccoon working their way out of the carrier and joining me in the front seat of the SUV.

Our dog sleeps in it every night. We were in our motor home for 3 months. We open and closed it every day. Very easy to do and took up very little space when folded up in MH when driving. It has worked out better than I expected. I recommend this product. We have a 30 lb dog.

Loved this crate for my dog. After eight months with no issues, she learned that clawing at the mesh would rip it open and she could get out. I patched it with nylon mesh and she ripped a hole in that. If your pet wants to get out, the mesh isn't strong enough to keep it in.

The carrier came with no packaging except for the cardboard box it was put in for shipping. There were no instructions, no paperwork at all, no invoice. I struggled around with assembling it and I think I got it right but I don’t know how to fold it back to store it. It had obviously been previously tried out by someone because the paint was a little scraped off the metal. (That doesn’t bother me I don’t mind that part.) And there was no carrying case to store it in when folded up. And I don’t really have to have that either although it would be nice for storage. In all fairness my cat likes it a LOT and it’s a good size for carrying her, it’s easy to carry, lightweight and balanced. I will need a second pad to add to the bottom, not enough padding for the cat and it’s a bit flimsy.

I purchased this crate for a 3-day trip with our 9-month old puppy. I found it fairly easy to assemble (I had to work a bit to get the frame moved into place). Our dog got used to it right away and it worked great on our trip. Though it's bulky, it's lightweight and easy for me to move. I'll definitely use this again for outings. A couple of downsides: It doesn't fold completely flat so it was a bit awkward to pack in the trunk with other items. One of the clasps that helps hold the collapsed crate closed was broken on arrival, but the company was quick to work with me to resolve.

We bought this for my blind shih tzu when we were moving and she had to be in the car. It was small enough to be able to fit in any car seat and was large enough for my 11 lb dog to stand up and turn around in. It was used continuously for 2 weeks of moving house between 2 towns and has held up well. It is a travel crate, with mesh sides, so if your dog is not trained to be in a crate it may not hold up under scratching or chewing. The mat/pad it comes with is flimsy and offers hardly any cushion so you may want to purchase something else, or add blankets for more comfort.
