Compact yet flexible, its two natural-sounding Scarlett mica preamps, super-low latency and class-leading sound quality and digital conversion are complemented by the essential inputs and outputs; two extra line inputs, digital I/O, four analogue outputs, MIDI I/O and two headphone outputs, allowing different monitoring settings for two artists, or an engineer and artist. Focus rite is the perfect partner for Pro Tools, and to celebrate this Scarlett 6i6 now comes with an exclusive version of Pro Tools | First Focus rite Creative Pack, as well as Able ton Live Lite. It is also compatible with all other major DAWs, on Mac and PC. Download the free Focus rite iOS Control app and adjust cue mixes created with the Focus rite Control desktop app remotely from an iPad, iPhone or iPod touch. Super-low roundtrip latency was measured at 2.74ms, working at 96kHz with a 32 samples buffer on Logic Pro X, running on a Mac Pro and OS 10.11

    • An Exemplar Among Modern Audio Interfaces
This interface is excellent and works well with Windows so long as it is configured properly. That is to say that, when I first used my unit, I noticed several instances of popping and what I perceived to be line noise. The former was caused by the buffer being set too low (128 ms) which I increased to 1024 ms, thus removing the matter. The line noise was not caused by the interface itself, nor the computer, nor the software, nor the interconnects, but rather by noise on the power. An isolating, conditioning power strip solved this issue. Since these non-issues, however, the performance of my Scarlett 6i6 has been stellar. The preamps have a somewhat neutral tone, ranging on warm, the outputs are clean and linear, and the software compatibility has been top-notch. On MacOS, performance has been even better as I had to change no settings in able to get similar performance and overall integration into the operating system has been tighter and more inclusive. I cannot emphasize enough that I consider this and the entire Scarlett line to be the best solution for any musician, voice actor, or recordist who is just starting out. ... show more

    • Focusrite makes badass compressors and now producers with these products.
I used to try and get by on my rocksmith cable or my built in sound card and some adapters for WAY to long, this thing had everything I wanted and it does it amazingly. Sound quality is great and the built in amps have very low noise levels for home recording. This is what I was waiting for all this time. It comes with ableton live lite and protools first, a whole bunch of pluggins and even another free VST from addictive keys(which was perfect because I was really torn when I bought my launchkey61 earlier and now I can have both instruments!) This is one heck of a package(the last time I was looking into recording from home all of this would have easily cost over $600-$1000. Not anymore, solid quality and construction at only 250$ with lots o software. ... show more

    • Focusrite Hardware, Great. But, Bundled Software, Disappointing.
Focusrite USB Audio Sound Card: A great product overall, nice pre-amps and a good assortment of inputs and outputs - the Scarlett 6i6 model. I am disappointed with the software bundle though, I spent almost a full day just downloading and installing the various software, drivers, Iloc license and plug-ins that were included and signing up/creating numerous accounts... I never did get a chance to record anything that day. *The most disappointing piece of software, was the main DAW program (recording software) - which was, "Pro-Tools | First" software edition. It uses a cloud-based storage system, that will only allow 3 songs to be saved, then requires the user to buy an upgraded cloud plan, adding a yearly or monthly expense. *The software bundle is definitely the weak link of this purchase! - I would probably recommend the Focusrite hardware but I would definitely warn potential buyer about the limitations of the software bundle. I will most likely purchase different hardware and software bundle package in the future. I have since changed and use a different DAW software and I am finally enjoying recording once again. ... show more

    • Excellent Audio Interface: Works on Windows 10 and Linux, and comes with a USB Cable!
I bought this to go along with my JBL 305P MKIIs, and I have to say that this works perfectly -- no issues at all! I use this on both Windows and Linux (Ubuntu) and it worked without installing any drivers on either operating system. However, be sure to install the drivers anyway (as Focusrite instructions recommend you doing) because it may not work properly with your DAW software. For example, although I could listen to audio without installing the drivers, it didn't work properly in Ableton Live until I followed the official instructions from Focusrite and installed the drivers for Windows 10. After that, it worked perfectly in Ableton! ... show more

Works perfectly for the moment! Haven't had any issues so far. ALSO: Consider this: This comes with your choice of one of the XLN Audio's Addictive Keys sets. That's $79.95 right there. That's right -- you're getting an extra $80 of value on top of getting this interface. Amazing, no? My mind is still blown. There are also several Softube plugins (Tube Delay + a few others - and each one is around $89 by themselves), a synth, and Gigabytes of loops. This Audio Interface basically pays for itself (with downloadable content). Will update this review if anything goes wrong, but for now, the Scarlett 6i6 works great. ... show more

I've had it for a year and I love it. I don't need much in a home studio. It sits right on my desk and I can just plug and play when I get a few moments. DI sounds great and it records crystal clear.
