I have two of these now wired into each other so that I can 2 people on individual cameras and mics at the same time, and these work amazingly well. It replaced my Tascam 4x4, which was a good audio interface, but anyone I was recording with had to deal with the lag of our own voices coming through on each other's headsets. Not so with the Scarlett! Getting to hear the person I'm recording with on my headset as they're talking rather than even a millisecond later has had a major impact on my recording quality, and the number of times I have to edit out someone going, "What?" The Asio channels means I record every input to its own track and have full editing capabilities of that person's audio without messing with my own. And something that is worth more than I realized it would be are the virtual audio channels in this device. I can route specific audio channels from my PC to my headphones without requiring them to be outputted to a specific channel, and I can even run inputs into my DAW, use live compressors or other VSTs and output them back to the virtual channels so I can use noise reduction and filters on live audio during streams! And all that hasn't even gotten into their midi capabilities! The software has a slight learning curve to figure out how to route audio through it, but it's really intuitive if you take a little time to play with the options. I also just love the design, quality build with red boxes on my desks, and physical volume knobs for my inputs and headsets is terrific. The one warning I have to give, because it threw me off at first, is that only two input channels use XLR. The other two inputs on the back use 1/4" balanced TRS cables. The Scarlett will still work fine with unbalanced TS cables, but the sound quality between my two Scarletts had noticeably less noise when I upgraded them to TRS cables. Definitely I'm glad I made this upgrade, it was well worth the price, and I recommend the Scarlett to anyone who wants to take a step up in podcast audio or music creation. ... show more

This is my first Audio Interface, and I absolutely love it. Whether I am sending midi out to my synths, capturing audio from my synths and other instruments, just listening to music, or gaming, it can do it all. The sound quality is excellent for the value. It is relatively easy to use so long as you know how to configure Audio Interfaces and Midi devices within your DAW. The build quality is also solid. However, I have noticed that some games and software can cause the driver to crash, resulting in all output being cut off until I do a reboot or restart the service. Focusrite is also regularly coming out with software updates so I expect this thing to improve over time. ... show more

I started out with the new 4th gen 2 input one. But had it for just one day before I realized I needed the larger one. Initially I figured I wouldn't mind just swapping out inputs for things, but I also realized I preferred a single one to include the single MIDI input I had from a full sized piano. Only downside is that the people who reviewed these new 4th gen Scarlett devices said you really need a headphone with high impedance. So that limited my options for headphones, but I found a set that works fine. Love the clarity and ease. NO issues with my condenser mike, MIDI, etc. Separate controls for studio monitors and headphones is nice. Love the input options. ... show more

This is a very nice upgrade from the old Behringer I had been using. The software it comes with to choose various setups and routing is easy to understand and use. I'm using it to record various analog and hybrid synthesizers, as well as guitar. It hasn't given me any issues as of yet.

Interface works well. Connected to my Mac / logic with no issue. Love that air button 5 stars for the device But don’t be fooled by all the supposed free plugins and crap offered. It’s a big nothing sandwich. Drum kit don’t work and either do the recording software. Plugin alliance only gave me pdf instructions for their plugins — not the actual plugins…All of it is just crap. I wasted a whole afternoon DL garbage. Next time I’ll try another brand that’s more truthful in advertising. I hate being scammed. ... show more

Excellent. Apparently record more than 2 instruments at a time. Good for my gaming/music set-up. Power stays on even when computer is off. Can't change the power setting in BIOS for that USB-C port for some reason. Used a on desk USB hub to control power when not in use. Discord doesn't notice it's plugged in sometimes. Handsome. Small. Sturdy. Cable is short. Light gain control and monitor is great. ... show more
