    • Unparalleled Sound Clarity and Build Quality - Focal Shape 65 Speakers Review
Color: Dark Walnut Style: Wooden/Walnut
As an audiophile who values both sound quality and aesthetics in studio equipment, I've found the Focal Shape 65 speakers to be a phenomenal addition to my home studio. These speakers offer an impeccable audio experience, making them ideal for both professional and home setups. When paired with a high-quality subwoofer, the depth and clarity of sound they deliver are truly unmatched, providing an immersive listening experience that highlights every subtle nuance in the music. One of the standout features of the Shape 65 speakers is their furniture-quality build. The craftsmanship is evident in every detail, from the robust construction to the sleek, modern design. They serve not only as high-performance speakers but also as a true statement piece in any room, enhancing the visual appeal alongside the auditory experience. Although these speakers are not designed for travel—lacking the portability that some may require for mobile setups—this minor limitation is far outweighed by their performance and design. The Focal Shape 65 speakers are steadfastly designed to be a stationary masterpiece, perfect for anyone serious about sound and looking to make a long-term investment in their audio setup. ... show more

    • Great sounding speaker
Color: Dark Walnut Style: Wooden/Walnut
A little big for my set up, but the sound from these speakers is absolutely first rate. It has what I consider an excellent balance of transparancy and musicality. Balance among bass, treble, and midrange is very good, not much in the way of exaggeration though I wouldn't call the overall tone 'neutral'. Subbass isn't great but for most music these work fine. I like the bass and I really think the tone and color is just excellent; not too much but not boring like Elac. ... show more

    • Be Cautious!
Color: Dark Walnut Style: Wooden/Walnut
Warning: I ordered a pair of Shape 65's and I ended up returning it after a week and a half due to an issue where one of the speakers lost volume due to phase cancelling from within the speaker. I was shocked especially after spending almost $2000 for a decent set of monitors. I once owned the CMS 65's and had a similar issue, but instead my HF amp went out completely. I had to send it back to Sweetwater for repair and I ended up paying in parts and labor the cost of a brand new speaker. I will not be putting my money into Focal anymore. Especially for this price, you should not have issues like I did. You might want to put your money into a more established brand who have worked through the kinks in their technology. ... show more

    • End game consumer monitors
Color: Dark Walnut Style: Wooden/Walnut
Went to Vintage King in Los Angeles and listed to these before purchasing. Lot more fun to listen to than my old Dynaudios DBM50s. As many more expanded and thorough reviews will attest to, the Focal Shape 65 are warmer monitors and less clinical and neutral sounding than more studio-oriented mastering monitors. I love em. Sure seem to be "end game" monitors for me for a home listening setup via an iMac and Dangerous Music Source DAC. Cool they have an auto sleep function too, and will wake up automatically when they get a signal. Vintage King are total pros - I'd recommend going through them if you can. ... show more
