Description

Smooth-Onโ€™s FOAM-iT! Series are two-component water blown rigid foams that are versatile and easy to use. Parts A and B are measured and mixed in equal amounts by volume. The mixture is then poured into a mold or other form (apply release agent if necessary). The mixture will expand many times original volume (depending on which FOAM-iT! product you are using) and develop a uniform cell structure. FOAM-IT! 3 is tack-free in about 4 - 6.5 minutes, developing handling strength in 20 minutes and full cure in 2 hours. All FOAM- iT! products can be used as a straight casting material, backfill material for hollow castings (adds structural strength) or as an encapsulation material, etc. They can be color pigmented with SO-Strong, UVO or IGNITE colorants and are used for a variety of art/ craft, industrial design and special effects applications. WARNING: Keep Out of Reach of Children. Do not get into eyes or on skin. Do not take internally. Do not breathe fumes. Use only with adequate ventilation. Wear vinyl or nitrile gloves and eye protection when handling this product. Review the technical bulletin prior to use for safe handling instruction.

  • Staying soft
Well the foam doesn't stay soft. But it maybe the ratio we are using. But it is fun watching the foam grow

  • Works well, mostly.
Works well if you stir it well and measure exactly. We used it to make Squishies.

  • Not quiet working out
My part A was very very dark in color. I've seen other videos on making squishies but never seen that color in the part A. And cannot get it to keep shape from silicone mold it deflates or on the bottom a lot of big holes through out. I've tried multiple batches but cannot get a consistent result

Totally perfect as a way to fill in castings to save money on resin, or to lighten weight of full plaster casts. Little bit goes a long ways, and it is totally set up in only a few minutes.

  • Way overrated!
This is actually quite weak for a rigid foam. I use a lot of pourable polyurethane foam to back up the brush on silicone molds that I make. This is an inferior product for that purpose, and I Would not recommend it! If it is to be used simply to fill a void, however, I think it would work fine if itโ€™s lack of structural integrity was not an issue. ... show more

  • Flexible???? Maybe under a microscope
NOT FLEXIBLE! came out like hard styrofoam... Not what I was looking for. If you are looking for hard Styrofoam, then this is perfect for you! Easy to use, quick cure time... Only I needed flexible foam.
